1 Answer

HMR, You would not be able to replace the tubing with a union fitting. This would require the water tank to be replaced.

Kevin, When the tubing that runs to the water tank breaks it is best to replace the reservoir. The tube itself cannot be removed from the tank. The tank part number is WR17X4358.

Dean S. for Model Number TPX24PRYEBB

I tried sending this message earlier today, but not sure it made it as my computer jammed as i tried to send this, so if you get this message twice my apologies. Problem: Both water tubing runs from the water valve have broken at the connector. Would you please send me part numbers you recommend including connectors. I noticed the dispenser line runs into the door. Is this line included in your part numbers, if not please be clear what is included. If you think tank needs to be replaced, please let me know, but since refrig is 16 yrs old, I would like to minimize parts. However refrig is running find other than no water to ice maker or dispenser. Thanks Dean

Dean, the water tube from inlet valve to the water tank and from the water tank to the door is part number WR17X2891. The tube that runs through the freezer door is part number WR17X3670. The connector at the bottom of the freezer door to connect the tubing is part number WR02X11330. The tubing from the inlet valve running to the icemaker is part number WR17X10045. Thanks!

Hello Steve. If the line is cut, you need to measure the line and see what size it is. Then you can order a union to connect the 2 lines together and repair the unit.

Hello Kambiz. The water line inside the freezer door is part of the door and you will need to order the door assembly on the unit.

Carmen, The best, and most permanent option is to replace the tank and tubing WR17X11440. You can repair the tube, using a length of same sized tubing (usually 5/16" diam.) WR17X1483 and a "john guess" coupling WP2300868, if there is enough undamaged tubing at the water tank. You forgot to attach a model number to your post, so the numbers listed, are for reference only, you'll need to verify sizes and parts needs by the model number of your refrigerator.
