Joe April 18, 2022 for Model Number ZSC1000KBB01 GE Microwave model ZSC1000KBB01 My display board dances and flickers. Bought a new one from you guys (WB27X10856), installed and it worked fine for six weeks or so. Then started flickering and dancing again, but generally performs the requested function, but it will likely stop working normally again soon. Infrequently, and at random times, the microwave will beep and the display goes blank, them comes back to standard display of time. When used again, it begins to flicker a few seconds after starting. And then may remain in that state for sometime (can still use microwave). I tested the transformer (WB17X10021): Ohms results: source white & black = target 23.2 - actual 22.6 (slightly low) yellow & black = target 1.5 - actual 1.5 — Volt test = target 13VAC - actual 13.1 black & white = target 5.2 - actual 5.2 — Volt test = target 20VAC - actual 20.1 red & brown = target 1.1 - actual 1.0 (slightly low) — Volt test = target 8VAC - actual 8.2 It appears to me the transformer readings are either right on or only slightly off, so guessing the transformer is working fine. I believe replacing the control board (WB27X10861) is next. Should I also be replacing the Pwb(pcb)Asm Sub (WB27X10858)? Is it possible that the Digitron display board (WB27X10856) is still okay? Would hate to have to replace that as well. Lastly, is the quality of the parts I may order from you of equal quality compared to geapplianceparts.com? Could you please address my three specific questions and in general, indicate that I’m on the right path Thanks, Joe
1 Answer Joe, It would be recommended to check to make sure that the transformer in the control panel is good as this would be the most likely cause for this issue. Read More...
Ken February 15, 2021 for Model Number SCB1000KBB01 After a couple power outages last night the Advantium oven display is glitchy. Numbers bounce around flashing in and out. Mostly out. Turn Dial is lit and when I turn the dial the display goes haywire as described above. Normally a breaker reset fixes the oven after a power outage. Not so this time. Oven is from January 2007.
1 Answer Hello Ken, the selector dial (encoder) is failing, it is part of pc board WB27X10860. Read More...
Tracy November 06, 2020 for Model Number SCB1000KBB01 The display is distorted. It works sometimes. The unit is heating up properly. Is the issue most likely a faulty display control board or something else. It is a 14 year old unit and I don't want to put to much $ in it. I tried to reset it by cutting the power and it still only works some of the time. Thanks
1 Answer Tracy, the low voltage transformer WB17X10021 would need to be tested for resistance while the power supply cord is unplugged. The primary winding should measure 23.2O. Then the secondary windings would be tested from the yellow wire to the black wire for 1.5O, black wire to white wire for 5.2O, and red wire to brown wire for 1.1O. If these test good, the next step would be to verify that all wire connections at the control panel are secured properly. If the wires are secure, then it would most likely be a failure in the power board WB27X10858. Read More...
Kiko January 30, 2019 for Model Number SCB1001MSS01 I have an intermittent digital display problem. When it's not working at all there will only be one blinking dash in the upper left corner of the display. If I trip the oven breaker off, then back on again the oven will work. Sometimes the time display will flash on and off very quickly but still heat up and count down. Sometimes, the display looks perfectly normal.
1 Answer Kiko, more than likely you may have the power board assembly failing. It is very difficult to isolate the cause of a failure when it is intermittent, but based by it still heat and such when the display flashes, it certainly sounds like a power failure from the power control board. Tony August 27, 2018 for Model Number ZSC1001KSS01 My Monogram Advantium oven's display and controls are totally dead - no lights, no indications that pushing any buttons does anything, etc. However the turntable turns all the time when the oven door is closed. What's your best guess as to what's wrong? Thanks, Tony
1 Answer Tony, With the turntable turning when the door is closed the most likely cause for this will be the main control board on the unit. Read More...
Randy June 02, 2017 for Model Number SCB1000KWW01 We have a 2005 GE Advantium SCB1000KWW01 that is having problems with the display. The display flashes. You have to push the buttons numerous times to get it to work. Should we replace the control board or the digitron?
1 Answer Randy, It's not likely to be the digitron, It's most likely going to be the control panel/keypad assembly or the control board [WB27X10861]. The control panel is no longer available from the manufacturer. Read More...
Dan D March 19, 2017 for Model Number ZSC2002NSS01 HI Expert Help! Been trying to fix my microwave for a couple of weeks. Had a service guy out but not lots of help!! Started out, just went dead. Replace Magnatron Thermal and started working but Magnatron was on all the time even in clock mode. Replace thermal, overheated in 5 minutes. Transformer was buzzing fairly loudly as its on 100%. I have replaced the relay PCB board, transformer, Magnatron, Capacitor & diode and Thermal fuses. Have checked all the thermals & cermanic fuses. Service guy said 4 @ 8 amps coming out of Transformer. Everything seem to work but does not get hot. All I can think is the Power PCB board might be bad? Suggestions? Love your service and delivery. Buying a new Microwave piece by piece! :). Dan
1 Answer Dan, This issue will most likely be caused by a faulty main control board on the unit supplying power to the HV side of the system. Read More...
Ed February 16, 2017 for Model Number SCB1000KBB01 The display on my unit is blank except for a blanking light in the far left top corner. the unit turns on in the Express mode. Can you narrow down what parts are needed to restore the Display? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Ed. Test the thermal fuse and all thermal cut outs in the unit. If those are good, then it sounds like you may have control board failure in the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Sam S January 16, 2016 for Model Number SCB1001KSS01 The display on my unit began blinking and distorted. It sometimes would not display at all. All else works fine. I ordered a new display from you guys and the display has blinking areas and the words are to correct. Put old display back in and nothing appears. Could it be a bad display or another board causing the issue?
1 Answer Sam, You will want to check the power transformer WB17X10021 to make sure that there is power in and power out of it. If the transformer is good then the issue will most likely be a faulty relay board WB27X32849. Read More...
Darrel November 19, 2015 for Model Number acb1000mbb01 The display on the advantium oven is flashing on and off. The flashing is affecting the left row of the display and lines 2 and 4. I want to know if it is the digitron or the control board causing this issue. Both parts are very expensive and I would like to by the correct one. As far as I can tell the oven is working properly otherwise.
1 Answer Darrel, It would most likely be a digitron that has failed and would need to be replaced. Read More...
