Dan June 15, 2013 for Model Number GE GSD3230Z04WW my drain solenoid on my GSD3230Z04WW had been sticking and there was water on the floor beneath the bracket. I noticed that there is a leak when the solenoid is in the "down" position, appears to be coming from the bracket mount point to the pump housing assembly. Want to replace the solenoid kit, but don't know if there's another seal somewhere I'll need to replace as well? Can you let me know which parts I'll need? thanks!
1 Answer Dan, If the leak is coming from the housing where the bracket attaches, there is no seal for this and you would need to replace the complete pump assembly. Read More...
Joaquin A June 10, 2013 for Model Number GE GSD3820 I have a leak from the shaft that goes into the pump motor when the solenoid is activated (drain function I think). Does Solenoid Part # WD21X10060 include the shaft seal that will stop the leak?
1 Answer Joaquin, The seal is part of the pump housing. In order to replace this you will need to replace the pump and motor assembly WD26X10013. Read More...
Sid May 22, 2013 Water will not drain, in the dishwasher. Checked all hoses for clogs and no clog. Pulled the motor and solenoid out and test solenoid. Flap only opens manual, does it sound like my solenoid not doing the job?
1 Answer Sid, If you can only open the flapper by pushing on the solenoid and will not open with power attached then the solenoid is faulty and would need to be replaced. Read More...
Eugene May 04, 2013 for Model Number gsd3425f00bb The plunger on my solenoid assembly is rusted and I wish to replace it. Also a small leak occures when the solenoid operates. It looks like the leak is coming from behind the bracket that attaches the assembly to the housing. does part # a p2039738 contain the seal or gasket for the mounting screws that will stop this leak. I will order the selenoid assay and any additional part necessary to correct this problem.
1 Answer Hello Eugene. WD21X10060 is the correct solenoid assembly and comes with all that is needed. Read More...
Ray December 09, 2012 for Model Number HDA3400G02BB Fills fine but drain solenoid stays open & keeps draining. Con is fine with solenoid, crack door to brack juice to solinoid & it will releace. Is this the mother board?????
1 Answer Ray, If you mean the timer WD21X33639 as the "motherboard", then yes, the issue is most likely in the timer circuit to the drain solenoid. The timer contacts are most likely arced together and send voltage to the drain solenoid all the cycle time. Read More...
Keith M. October 06, 2012 for Model Number HDA3220Z04BB My dishwasher has no electrical power. There is power to the machine, but it won't start. Help!
1 Answer Hello Keith, The first thing to check is the door strike and switch WD21X10261. If this checks out, the timer WD21X10013 should be checked for voltage to and out of it. If voltage gets to a component, but isn't passed to the next component, the component has failed. Read More...
Brian F. October 06, 2012 for Model Number GSD2220Z05BB I just purchased the Solenoid Assembly kit. Part number WD21X0050 and order number 2847767 and I cannot figure out how to get the old white plastic piece off the dishwasher. I have all of the other pieces off but this looks like a gromet or something holding it on. Should I pull it off, is it a snap off and I use the new screws on the upgraded version? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance! Brian
1 Answer Brian, The Drain valve arm WD35X192(white plastic piece) is keyed on the drain flapper shaft and held on/in place by the "C" clip. You will need to use a sharp pointed awl or small flat blade screwdriver to remove the clip , then slide the arm lever off the shaft. Read More...

Nick September 17, 2012 for Model Number GE "Potscrubber" Model# GSD2220Z04BB Dishwasher operates fine and drains completely; however, a drip leak occurs whenever the drain kit solenoid engages to drain the tub. Looking at the (WD21X10060 GE Dishwasher Drain Solenoid), the drip seems to be coming from the area of the top screw on the metal plate of this part. I suspect there is a gasket/ seal behind this metal plate where it screws into the pump assembly. Can you simply purchase a new gasket or does a new gasket come with a new WD21X1006o Solenoid Kit Assembly?
1 Answer Hello Nick. You will need to order and replace the solenoid assembly WD21X10060 to repair the leak on the unit. Read More...
Jess August 27, 2012 My ge dishwasher runs through its cycle fine but doesn't drain at the end leaving dirty water up to the door level. I've pulled it all apart and there are no plugs in any of the lines. The pump appears to be working fine. I think it's the solenoid as I don't see it moving during any part of the cycle. Is there a way to manually open the drain valve to confirm if it is the solenoid that's the issue? Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
1 Answer Hello Jess. Test for power to the solenoid. If there is power there and it does not move, replace the solenoid WD21X10060 in the unit. Read More...
