Frank July 21, 2013 for Model Number GE WJRSR4160DACC After filling the washer, water starts leaking out the bottom. I've taken the bottom off and looked everywhere. The most logical is the drain hose; however, after removing, I can't detect any holes or leaks. Do you have any thoughts?
1 Answer Hello Frank. You need to check the hoses, pump, and selas under the unit. If all are good, then you need to check the flood gasket on the unit and the water valve. Read More...

Robeert A. January 03, 2013 for Model Number GE WH12X10378 The highest water level too high. It is about 2 inches above the top of the agitator. The water splashes out. There are two adjustment screws in the switch. Can anyone explain how to lower highest water level setting?
1 Answer Hello Robeert, You need to remove the hose from the pressure switch and blow through it back to the tub to make sure it isn't clogged with lint or detergent residue. If it is clear, replace the pressure switch WH12X10378. The screws are calibrated at the factory. If the screws need adjustment, the switch is failing and will not be dependable. The possibly of overfilling into the floor will be greatly increased. Read More...
Ana November 20, 2012 Hi! My washer wont stop filling as well, and as recommended in the Q & A I ran the test to find out if is the pressure switch or the valve. In my case is the switch and I want to buy it and replace it my self. My question is: Is replacing the switch something I should take to an expert or is something easy that I can do my self? Thanks!
1 Answer Hi. Depending on the model, remove the top or the back control panel. Remove the pressure switch hose and make sure it does not fall down into the chassis during the pressure switch part # WH12X10378 change. Unclasp the electrical connector. Unlatch the switch holder tab and turn the switch approx. 30 ° to remove it. Replace it and make sure the pressure switch holder tab is locked in place against the inner frame. After replacement fill the unit in a small wash. Advance the unit into a final spin and let it run itself out of time to "reset" the pressure switch. Thank You. Read More...

Mark G. May 14, 2012 for Model Number GE top load washing machine Model #: WDSR2080DEWW My GE washing machine will not stop filling. How do I get to the pressure switch? Is it located in the back behind the controls, under the silver plate or in different location?
1 Answer Hello Mark, Before you replace any parts, here's a quick, easy test to try to figure out which part you will need. With the water turned on to the unit, start the machine and as it's filling, unplug the machine. If the water stops, you need the pressure switch. If the water doesn't stop, you need the water inlet valve. In either case you will need to open the control panel to access either the water inlet valve or the pressure switch. Very Important: At this point you should unplug the unit or otherwise isolate it from the power supply for your protection. Gloves are also strongly recommended as there are sharp edges exposed when the control panel is removed. To access the inside of the control panel, remove the 4 screws across the top of the control panel and flip it forward. Then slide it to one side to unhook the tabs on the bottom and lift it out.
