The line seems to go into a plastic/rubber boot with also serves as an elbow going into the back of the freezer section. My concern is breaking the rubber/plastic elbow.

Jeff May 17, 2018 for Model Number PSS29NSTASS I noticed the water flow from my water dispenser is slow. I pulled the fridge out from the wall and opened up the bottom metal panel. Noticed a pool of water in the flat pan under the water valve. I had my wife use the water dispenser to see if any water is leaking when used. Sure enough, I noticed a crack in the water line (attached to the blue side of the water valve) where water was spraying out. 1 Answer Hello Augustine, This could be the water line to the icemaker, (on right while facing the rear of the appliance), or to the water filter, (if on the right from the rear). If it is to the water filter, the filter will have to be disassembled from the interior of the cabinet to access the connection points. There will also be enough disassembly to gain enough slack in the lines to access them. AS far as how the fittings work: To remove: Push line in and hold ring around the line in against the filter housing, then, while holding the ring in, pull line out.
