Al December 18, 2012 for Model Number 721.80033700 I have a Kenmore Microwave Over the Range/Hood manufactured in November 2009. My turntable stopped turning, but the microwave works fine other than that. I believe it is the turntable motor. Which turntable motor do I get? How do I replace the turntable motor? Are there instructions somewhere? Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Al, your turntable motor 6549W1S013K is mounted underneath the microwave. Remove the wires and screws and install the new one. You might also check your turntable coupler [4370W1A011A] as it mounts on the motor shaft and helps to turn the tray. Thanks! Read More...
Andy November 12, 2012 for Model Number JVM1661SB001 My microwave does not heat and turntable does not turn. Light goes on and the internal fan works. From all outward appearances you'd think it works. However what you take out is always the same temperature as when you put it in. Help! Is it a door switch or a magnetron?
1 Answer Hello Andy, Looking at it logically, the turntable has nothing to do with the high voltage circuit. In light of this, I would suspect a control circuit. While the door switches are in the control circuits, they also have nothing to do with the high voltage circuit. I would suspect the control board since it controls both the turntable and the high voltage circuits. This unit needs to be tested with a test meter for issues. Using the tech sheet inside the unit will give you both the items in the circuits to test and the specifications for the components being tested. There will also be a flow chart to follow that will normally pinpoint the issue if followed correctly. Let us know if we can assist you further. Read More...

Arvin October 22, 2012 for Model Number ge jvm1631wb005 range-over microwave The microwave started making noises as the turntable rotated. At that time the heating was working but as the noises become worse. I shut it down and will remove it from the cabinet. The noise sounds like a clutch slipping so that I cannot tell now whether the turntable motor or something else is the culprit. If I order a part and do not try it can I return with a handling charge? Thanks in advance.
1 Answer Hi Arvin, raise up the tray and check the coupler WB06X10138 and roller guide ring WB06X10139. If they are okay, it's likely your turntable motor WB26X10038. We have a 365 day warranty and 365 day return policy on all our parts so there is no risk to you. All you have to do is pay the shipping and we'll take it back up to one year from the date of purchase. Hope this helps! Read More...
David August 30, 2012 for Model Number Jvm1861sd002 My GE stovetop microwave model JVM1861SD002 stopped turning. Since it's over 10 years old called GE Parts for replacement part # for drive motor ST-16FE(EX73SAAA3). They gave me WB26X10112. This site gives WB26x10038. What's the difference?
1 Answer David, part number WB26X10112 (WB26X10112) is the drive motor for the blower. If you are needing the turntable motor you will use WB26X10038 (WB26X10038). Thanks! Read More...
Roger I. February 01, 2012 for Model Number jvm1630wboo7 Just bought a new house microwave turntable won't turn?
1 Answer Hello Roger. Make sure the motor is turned on with the control panel. If is it on, and there is power to the motor, but the motor does not turn, replace the motor WB26X10038. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Chuck March 24, 2011 for Model Number JVM1851WD001 The turntable on my almost 10 year old microwave only works if I'm cooking something light. If I try to cook anything heavier, like something in a 2-QT casserole dish then the turntable won't turn and sometimes makes a grinding or clicking noise. As mentioned, the microwave is almost 10 years old, if it is the turntable motor is that something that I can replace myself? Would a new microwave be more energy efficient than my 10 year old microwave? If I can fix it myself that would be great, but if this microwave is wasting money and energy I wouldn't be opposed to replacing it. Thank you.
1 Answer Hello Chuck! You will more than likely have to replace the turntable motor WB26X10038. Newer microwaves meet today energy requirements as older microwaves only met the requirements for the year they were manufactured. It would be solely up to you if you wanted to replace or repair your product. With it being ten years old, I myself would look into the factors of; How many times has this appliance failed, how much is the part I'm needing vs a new product today, how long is a microwave suppose to last, etc. You can visit our free repair forum for installation assistance, here is the link to register and post a question. Tony March 23, 2011 for Model Number GE JVM1661SB 003 My turntable stopped turning, but the microwave works fine other than that. What's the most common cause, turntable motor? How do I get access the turntable motor? Are there instructions somewhere or would I be better off replacing the entire unit? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Tony! You will more than likely need the turntable motor WB26X10038. You will need to remove the turntable and the coupling. Remove the 5 screws from the bottom of the microwave oven cabinet and remove the bottom plate. Remove the screw, then rotate the motor CCW 1/8 turn. Remove the turntable motor.
