For Ge Valve Water (Part Number: OEM6138135)

Fred, You will want to check the water valve to see if there is 120 vac getting to the valve. If there is power at the water valve then this will most likely be a water valve that is faulty. If not the control board would be the issue.

Hello John. You need to remove the hoses from the valve after the water is turned off. Then remove the screws across the top of the control panel and flip it down to access and replace the water valve on the unit.

Hello Jennifer, If you cannot pull it off by hand, put a screwdriver in the center and use leverage to pop it off. You could also grab the plastic connector with a pair of pliers and pull it off. All three of these will come off with ample pressure applied. The catches are in place to prevent the wires from coming off from the vibration of normal operation of the machine.

Hello Wil. No, Spin all the water out of the tub. Then remove the hose from the switch and blow though the hose to remove any water out of the air dome on the side of the tub. Try running the washer and see if it operates properly. if not, you may have a bad air dome on the unit and will need to replace the outer tub WH45X20473 to repair the issue with the unit. Only reason for replacing the control board is if all the other has been done. You do not blow into the pressure switch, you remove the hose from the pressure switch and blow into the air dome assembly.

Ok guys as stated on other questions to you I have been having problems with my washer stopping at the correct water levels I have replaced the press. switch, replaced the water valve and the press. Switch hose and the problem continues what do you suggest that I do now? Do I need to replace the main board ? Does the main board control the different levels? I did forget to mention to that I disconnected the hose to the press. Switch end that leads to the dome chamber and blew air while the washer was filling and it stopped when I blew air and when I stopped blowing it continued to fill what does that mean ? Please advise. Wil

guys I have replaced the press. switch, water valve, and the press. switch hose but, my problem has not been resolved... if I do not supervise the washer water will overflow as stated before the issue here is the different water settings its not recognizing the different water levels so, what is next? I have to ask does the main board control or send any kind of signals to the water valve or press. switch ? I have asked this question if I should replace the main board but, you have recommended other things to replace. please advise, I am very disappointed at this time really need to repair this problem. Wil

Will, When you were working with the press. switch hose, did you check and make sure the attachment port on the side of the tub was clear and free of debris, or water/detergent deposits ? With the work and parts you've done, the issue should have been solved, unless the tub port is blocked or you have a control board issue, Blow in the press. switch hose when you disconnect it from the press. switch. At the main control board, 11 pin harness connector(not the board connector) , pin 4 and across to pin 7, should be an "open" circuit. If you carefully blow into the Press. switch, until you hear ir "click" the circuit should be "closed" If all's OK, then replace the control board WH12X10169. Good Luck and Thanks

Hello Wil. Pour 1 gallon of vinegar in the washer tub and turn the unit on with hot water selected. Let it wash and it should clean out the air dome.

Hello Wil. If the water valve and the pressure switch are new, then the only thing left is the pressure hose WH41X365 and making sure the air dome is clean and there is no soap or water residue inside the air dome. These are the parts that control the level of the water inside the unit.
