Cedric C July 12, 2013 for Model Number wm2487hrm The washer will work fine until the spin cycle starts. The machine makes a noise and will not spin. The water remains in the tub. I turned the unit off and restarted the cycle and it drained out. I cleaned the filter in the front and the next time the water leaked from the bottom and started to make the same noise and no rinse. Not sure what to do?
1 Answer Cedric, You will want to check the drain from the hose at the bottom of the tub all the way out of the unit. Check for objects and obstructions. Check for loose or corroded connections on the wire harness for the pump and at the control board for the pump. If this checks ok then sounds like a pump is faulty. Read More...
Sean July 11, 2013 for Model Number 796.4051 I have a Kenmore Elite front load washer. It will not drain the water so I am assuming that it needs the drain pump.Is this a job that an average guy can do? Or will it need to be done by a service man?
1 Answer Hello Sean. The drain pump is not hard to replace on the units. Just pay attention to the removal of the old pump and install the new pump in reverse order. Read More...
Jeff June 27, 2013 for Model Number WM2277HW About every 3rd or 4th load the water pump doesn't pump out the water. The washer is in a place of business so it is in constant use. All the drain hoses are clean (not clogged) and the pump does work just not every time. Should I replace the water pump or look for a solution elsewhere. When I got to the pump it was hot. So I'm thinking that the pump overheats and then cools down.
1 Answer Hello Jeff. Based on the informaiton you provided, you will need to order and replace the pump on the unit. Read More...

Becky May 19, 2013 for Model Number WM2487HWM MACHINE STOPS WORKING AT RINSE CYCLE. HAS OE MESSAGE. I DRAINED WATER AND CLEANED FILTER. MACHINE WILL WORK IF I KEEP ON DRAINING FROM FRONT. IT SEEMS EVERTIME I DRAIN WATER, FILTER IS DIRTY. COULD IT BE PUMP IS CLOGGED OR ONE OF THE PUMPS ISN'T WORKING?
1 Answer Becky, You're on the right track, based on the "OE" code and debris in the filter Your first check should be the drain hose and the drain pipe, especially if the drain hose is taped or sealed to the standpipe. Remove the tub to pump hose and check to clear any debris from the tub outlet and in the hose 4738ER1002A and check or replace both pumps, EAU61383518, 4681EA2001T Read More...
Rg May 01, 2013 for Model Number LG WM3677HW I have a LG Washer Dryer Combo Unit that is getting stuck at the start of the rinse cycle with water left in the drum. The filter basket at the bottom left of the unit is clear. I previously (3 weeks ago) cleared out the remnants of the backing to a bathroom mat that were caught in the rubber tube at the base of the drum. I also disassembled and cleaned out the pump motors. Beginning at the start of the rinse cycle the machine makes a grinding noise and the drum does not turn. Could one of the pump motors be bad? Thank you.
1 Answer Hello RG. You will need to check all hoses for clogs and make sure they are clear. If so, an it does not drain, you will need to order and replace the drain pump on the unit. Read More...
