Nancy April 20, 2013 for Model Number WM3987HW HI My LG washer/dryer combo wont drain the water. After I removed the water it would spin. Is there 2 pumps that need to be replaced? and what would the model number be?
1 Answer Nancy, There is only one drain pump on your unit. Before you replace the drain pump you will want to ensure that it is not clogged and make sure that the drain from the bottom of the tub to the outside of unit is not clogged. These things could cause the unit to not drain properly. If they all check ok then you will want to make sure that he pump is getting power and if it is then replaced the pump. Read More...

Dale March 18, 2013 for Model Number WM2487HRM We have a LG front load washer model WM2487HRM. Looking at your Pump diagram it shows a "Motor Pump Assembly P/N 4681EA2002H" (item K345) and a "Drain Pump Motor P/N 4681EA2001T” (item K340). Does this washer require both parts? Also would it be wise to replace the Casing, pump (item K344) P/N 3108ER1001A?
1 Answer Dale, Yes the unit does need both parts Motor pump assembly and drain motor for proper operation. Unless the casing is cracked or leaking it should not have to be replaced. Read More...
Larry March 07, 2013 for Model Number LG WM0642HW Washing machine My LG WM0642HW washing machine stops part way through the cycle with a flashing OE. I have taken it apart down to removing and taking apart the pump. No blockage anywhere in the discharge path. So I am assuming either the control board or the drain pump is bad. How do I troubleshoot from here? Should I apply 120V to the drain pump terminals and see if it functions? Not sure how to verify correct operation of the control board. Thanks, Larry
1 Answer Larry, If you have checked the drain fully including the pump and the impeller is still in place on the pump, Do a spin only cycle which should cycle the drain pump on and do a voltage test to make sure that the pump is indeed getting power. If the pump is getting power but not turning on then you would want to replace the pump. Read More...
