Sena February 05, 2013 for Model Number wm2277hw 6 months ago I replace the drain pump and it was functioning fine, now started leaking from the door and I changed the door gasket , hinges assembly and door lock assembly, after then the washer run about 10 minutes and stop; indicate LE sign which says over load and also not draining the water. It did this without load and with load as well. What should be the problem. THanks
1 Answer Hello Sena. • The connector (3-pin, male, white) in the MOTOR HARNESS is not connected to the connector (3-pin, female, white) of STATOR ASSEMBLY. • The electric contact between the connectors (3-pin, male, white) in the MOTOR HARNESS and 4-pin, female, white connector in the MAIN PWB ASSEMBLY is bad or unstable. • The MOTOR HARNESS between the STATOR ASSEMBLY and MAIN PWB ASSEMBLY is cut (open circuited). • The hall sensor is out of order/defective. Kat January 25, 2013 for Model Number WM2455HW Hi. Wash cycle begins normally with the machine sensing the load but water is not pumping in after load size is displayed. There is a buzzing sound like something is trying to work but absolutely no water is coming into the washer. What do you think? Thanks, Kat
1 Answer Hello Kat, You will want to check water valve to make sure that there is no clogging of the screens on the valve. Make sure water is off and pull hoses to look at screens. If screens are clean then reattach hoses and turn water back on. Check for voltage going to water valve. If voltage present but no water coming in then replace the valve. Read More...
Kevin A January 25, 2013 for Model Number lg washer front load Pump hums oe error took pump out cleared lines all good as virgil stated the impellers flip are my pumps bad?
1 Answer Hello Kevin, You will want to test the resistance of the drain pump. You should have an ohm reading of 10-20 ohms. If the reading is higher or lower than this then replace the drain pump. You will then want to check the drain circuit at the main control when the unit is in spin cycle check for 120 vac. If no voltage then replace main control. Read More...
Brad January 23, 2013 for Model Number wm1812cw The other day I noticed an unusually loud vibration type noise during drain time. After futher investigation the impellor came loose from the shaft. It appears that the epoxy finally broke down after 7 good years. The O ring and the impellor are in good shape, and I would like to try to salvage the assembly. What sort of exopy was used? Would Super Glue Anchor Tite Waterproof Epoxy work? It came withstand up to 1000 psi. What is the max pressure encountered by the pump during a normal drain? Also, I thought about installing a threaded insert and set screw into the impellor and then putting a thin layer of expoxy over it. I was a little unimpressed by how the impellor was help in place and thinking of better solutions. What are your thoughts?
1 Answer Hello Brad. Sorry, but the manufacture would only have that information. The recommended repair is to replace the part and not re-glue it. If you want to do it the other way, you will need to contact the manufacture and do it at your own risk. Read More...
Andreas January 01, 2013 for Model Number wm5301HR I have an LG washing machine that will not spin and drain after it reaches the 12 minute mark remaining in a wash cycle. The drain hose is clear as is the drain filter. If I remove the clothes and unplug the drain hose at the bottom, I can get the drain and spin cycle to work but no water is sent through to the utility sink. I can only get the water to drain by unplugging the drain hose once again. Is this a drain pump or circulating pump issue? And do I need part number 4681EA2001T?
1 Answer Hello Andreas, I have seen the impellers on this style pump 4681EA2001T separate from the motor shaft. I've also seen the impeller shatter. It is entirely possible that the pump could be the issue. I can't help but notice that you have to "unplug the drain". This is not a desirable situation. What exactly are you removing to "unplug the drain hose"? The drain pump is only designed to pump water so if something is in there to "plug" the drain hose, this is the issue and it should not be put into the unit. If it's lint, you should reduce the amount of detergent to reduce the wear on the fabric and shorten the wash time. These two things are what cause lint production. If it is debris from pockets, empty the pockets before they go into the unit. Read More...
Brodie December 30, 2012 for Model Number WM2233HS I was told part number 4681EA1007G will fix my non draining/humming washer but then I cross referenced this with Sears and they say part number 4681EA1007D. According to the diagram for my washer model on this site I only have one motor pump but on Sears and another site the diagram for my washer model shows two pumps. I'm confused on which part I need. Any help is much appreciated.
1 Answer Hello Brodie, The Motor Assembly for the drain pump for unit is 4681EA2001T. Some companies may still have stock of the old part number so they do not sub it over. This is the most recent sub number for the unit and will work for your washer. Read More...
Amber December 21, 2012 for Model Number WM2077CW I have a LG tromm front load washer. I feel that it's the drain pump but is there more than one pump. One on each side of the drain pit. Thanks for help.
