Masoud September 16, 2017 for Model Number WM2688HNM LG Washer Hi there, I am trying to decide if I need to order a drain pump. I removed the drain and recirculation pumps and checked for continuity using old craftsman volt meter. The drain pumps shows resistance and audible signal sounds. Same test on the recir pump and it shows 23 ohms and no audible sound. I put the unit back together and ran a speed wash cycle, which is 30 min. After 8 minutes from wash to rinse mode, the machine hums and do not move forward. There is water in the tub. I tried this couple of times, with similar result. Although, I may have gone thru the entire cycle the day before including draining after pausing and continuing. Question: Do I need to order a drain pump? recirculation pump or something else is wrong? I did not get an error message...... I am contemplating buying a new washer but if I can fix it, It would be a preferred option. I did change the bearing a few months back. Best Regards, Masoud
1 Answer Masoud, You will want to check to make sure that you are getting 120 vac to the motor. If you are then the issue will most likely be a bad drain pump and if there is no power then the issue will be a faulty main control board. Read More...

Joe August 17, 2017 for Model Number wm2016cw I bought the water pump that you said fits my lg wm2016cw washing machine (4681ea2001t) but it is different from the original pump , it is similar and appears to fit but in your video it shows removing the plastic cover and replacing it on the new pump, but the old cover will not fit on the new pump. after finding this I did a search and found my original pump looks exactly like 4681ea1007g. can I install the 4681ea2001t in my machine without the plastic cover on it? thanks joe
1 Answer Joe, Yes the pump can be installed without the cover on it but the cover is mainly for the purpose of if there were any leaks it would protect the wiring of the unit. Read More...
Scott July 30, 2017 for Model Number WM2016CW I have the pump motor out keep getting oe all line's are clear, filter is clean I can spin the motor but there is play in the motor back and forth is this normal, I put power to it and it works so any thoughts as to what it could be.
1 Answer Scott, Check to see if there is 120 vac getting to it when the unit is supposed to drain. If the pump is getting 120 vac but not draining then it would would be a bad pump and if there is not 120 vac then this will be a control board issue. Read More...
1 Answer Chris, If there is 120 vac getting to the drain pump but the water is not draining from the unit then this will be a bad drain pump if there are no clogs. Read More...
Eugene July 12, 2017 for Model Number LG WM2016CW I purchased a pump from another vendor and the impeller is not fastened solid on the shaft. If pump is held impeller should it fall off. I haven't pulled the old pump yet. If need be, I will return it and order from Appliance Parts Pro. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Eugene. No, the impeller should not fall off the shaft on the unit. Thanks. Read More...
Denise July 06, 2017 for Model Number WM2277HW LG washer bought in 2006. It will not go into the spin cycle, leaving clothes wet. I also noticed that the timer stays on "10", and then after apparently 10 minutes passes, it gives the error code of UE, saying it is out of balance. Nothing is in it. I have drained the clean out, unplugged it, shut the door several times. I've tried everything. Is this a drain pump motor problem?
1 Answer Denise, This issue sounds like it would be more of an issue with the door lock assembly. There is a spin enable switch in the door lock that if it is faulty it will not allow the unit to drain and spin. Read More...
Fritz June 23, 2017 for Model Number LG WM3570HWA Front loader LG hi-eff washer just flooded laundry room with water seeping down to lower level drywall and ceiling and floors...causing extensive damage! Have cleaned up most of mess in laundry rm. Removed top and back of washer, and ran 2 TOTAL wash cycles...but no leaks what-so-ever! Your tech said check all hoses for leaks - done! Sez now could be Drain Pump Motor - so how do I know if thats problem w/o spending $70 and going through a lot of work!!?? Thx
1 Answer Fritz, You will want to try to locate the leak as a drain pump motor typically will not cause the unit to leak unless the pump itself is leaking. It could be that there was a restriction in the drain at the wall and caused this to occur. Read More...
