Ernie June 09, 2011 for Model Number LG DLE2532W Dryer has no heat. I checked AP4441539, as I stated in my last post, I own and know how to use a multi-meter. The thermistor (AP4441539) is reacting to temp. change (the resistance is changing with hot and cold). Can you tell me what the range should be and at what temps.?
1 Answer Hello Ernie. Here is a chart to go by. Hope this helps. 90°F (32°C)-7.7k 100°F (38°C)-6.2k 110°F (43°C)-5.2k 120°F (49°C)-4.3k 130°F (54°C)-2.9k 140°F (60°C)-3.0k 150°F (66°C)-2.5k 160°F (71°C)-2.2k Read More...
Ernie June 09, 2011 for Model Number LG DLE2532W Dryer has no heat. Checked all thermos and found that one was bad (AP44440975) and replaced. Two cycles later it blew again. All ducting is very clean. Also checked thermistor (AP44441539) and it is reactive to temp. change. What else could it be?. Please advise.
1 Answer Hello Ernie. Check and make sure the unit is cycling off and on the heater. You will need to read the temperature coming out of the vent pipe on the back of the dryer. If it is not, you will need to replace the thermistor 6323EL2001B. You can test this with a multi-meter with themperature TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Mickey C. May 22, 2011 for Model Number DLE2514W My dryer takes a couple of times thru to dry the clothes the vent is clean I have even changed it all out. When the clothes do come out dry the are hot. Could it be the thermostat or something else?
1 Answer Hello Mickey. It sounds like the venting system is clogged or kinked. You will need to check the vent and clean it out. Be sure and clean the vent pipe and the dryer air duct assembly. If the air flow is not good, the unit will retain moist air causing the clothes not to dry. Try running the unit with the vent unhooked from the back of the dryer and see if the dryer works properly.
