All connections fit perfectly' easy assembly waterworks, ice will come out of the bin, but will not make ice. after about three hours the whole thing shuts down, no water or turning of the wheel in the ice bin. I unplug the refrigerator and everything starts up again but still not making ice.

Rick October 28, 2019 for Model Number Kenmore Elite 795.72042.313 Hello, I was here a few months ago with the same problem. Ice maker makes ice but does not self harvest the ice. Temperature is set at 0 degrees. It dumps the ice and refills with water only when the bin is removed and the hidden button is pushed. Ultra-ice on or off doesn’t change anything. Replaced entire unit within the last 6 months. Looking for a long-term fix. HELP! Thanks, Rick
1 Answer Rick, the temperature reaching the ice maker will need to be verified as being below 5°F. The freezer temperature will also need to be verified to be within a 4° tolerance. If the temperature of the ice maker does not reach 5°F, then it will not harvest. If it does reach the proper temperatures, the sensors on the side will need to be checked to ensure there is not any obstruction for the line of sight. Bill September 01, 2019 for Model Number Kenmore 795.71054.014 During the last few months, water refilling the ice trays has been leaking into the ice bucket and beyond. I observed the water refill step and noted that the water came into the refill trays rapidly and apparently splashed enough to drip down into the ice bin. Mark April 25, 2019 I took off my ice maker, part number AEQ73110206 is on the sticker on the back. It has two connectors. One has only three larger wires and the other has ten including the two orange ones that go to the on off switch. I think I should order the AEQ73110203, is that correct. The only thing wrong with the thing is there is hard water scale in the tray making it hard to eject the cubes and it just sits there and clicks. I even tried descaling chemicals to no avail.
