Peter, The 2 parts that would cause this issue would be a faulty thermistor or a faulty main control board. The part number for the thermistor is DD82-01118A and the control board DD82-01139A.

The condition that is occurring is the temperature of the thermistor is 176 degrees or above for more than 3 seconds. The 2 items that could cause this issue would be a faulty thermistor or a bad main control board.

Hello Michael. Turn off water and power and uninstall the dishwasher and lay it on it's back. Then access the sump assembly where the sensor is located. Twist and remove the old sensor and unplug the wires. Install new sensor in reverse order.
