Elpidia January 29, 2020 for Model Number DV50K7500EV/A3 I need help with the wire locations. I have two black and 1 red and blue the ones towards the back and I'm not sure where to connect them on the heating element.
1 Answer Elpida, there will be the black jumper wire which will go from the back thermal fuse to the hi-limit thermostat. There will be a blue jumper wire that will go from the hi-limit thermostat to the element. The red wire will go to the element. The single terminal blue wire connects to the thermal fuse at the back. Elpidia January 29, 2020 for Model Number DV50K7500EV/A3 I don’t know where the 4 back wires go. I have 2blavk and1 blue and 1 red . Please help
1 Answer Elpidia, To wire this heater you should have a red jumper wire that goes from the hi-limit thermostat to the bottom heater terminal. The blue wire will go to the top heater terminal and the 2 black wires would go to the thermal cutoff. There may also be a white wire that would go to the center terminal. Read More...

Sam August 09, 2019 for Model Number DV455EVGSWR/AA-0001 Hi , the Fuse is blowing repeatedly , what is the average life for one of the fuses also I have seen note to check if one of the heating elements is touching the ground and overheating as a result. Can I get a wiring diagram or a picture of the 3 lead wires and where they go.
1 Answer Sam, depending on which fuse is failing repeatedly, there are several things that can occur. Generally, a clogged vent can cause a thermostat on the blower housing to fail, a grounded heating element can cause a thermostat to fail on the heating assembly. A stuck relay can also cause a thermostat to fail by allowing the heater to stay on too long. The wiring diagram will be sent separately to assist with identifying the circuits. Read More...

Carmen June 12, 2019 for Model Number dv218aew/xaa We have had a tech come out and replace the fuse three times. The dryer will then work for a few hours and then stop heating again. We have cleaned out the vent all the way to the external exhaust. At a loss as to what to do now. Now looking to replace everything and see what happens. Is this the correct part for my model and do we need to also purchase the thermistor, thermal fuse separately or is it included in the assembly?
1 Answer Hello Carmen, this sounds like an over temperature problem as the thermal fuse will only trip under excess temperature. Check the heating element to see if it has shorted to ground inside the heater duct. Read More...

Jc December 17, 2018 for Model Number DV5471AEP/XAA I have a Samsung dryer (model DV5471AEP/XAA) that stopped heating. Everything is working fine except the fact that it only blows cold air. Have been with the dryer for approximately 7 years and it’s used several times a week. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
1 Answer JC, If the unit is not heating then you will want to check the thermal fuse and high limit thermostat on the side of the heater. If these have continuity then test the heating element itself to make sure that it is good and make sure that it is getting 240 vac to it. If there is power but no heat then the element is faulty and needs replaced. Read More...
