Robert B September 24, 2018 for Model Number wf219anw/xaa Our Samsung Front Load washer made a loud Bang then the drum stopped turning. You can hear the motor turning and it sounds like it is oscillating and turning but it is not. Then after a few seconds of being on I get E3 on the readout. Any Idea?
1 Answer Robert, You will want to check to make sure that the spider did not break which would be the most likely cause with the symptoms of what happened. Read More...
Peter B July 21, 2018 for Model Number WF328AAR/XAA-0001 Hi, I bought and installed the spider flange number DC97-14875B for my washer. The shaft on the DC97-14875B does not seem to fit the rotor on my washer, however; the shaft is larger than the opening on the rotor it is supposed to slide into. And it seems to require a rotor mounting bolt, whereas the rotor was attached to my original spider flange shaft with just two washers and a nut. Did I order the wrong spider? Is there a way to adapt the DC97-14875B to work with my washer? Thank you.
1 Answer Peter, This shaft DC97-14875B would be the correct flange for the unit. It is possible that the manufacturer redesigned the rotor but we do not show any thing on them doing this. Read More...
Patsy July 12, 2018 for Model Number wf218anw/xaa My washer was acting out of balance when it was spinning. Then yesterday it stopped spinning out the water and made a loud grinding noise.
1 Answer Hello Patsy, You should check the drain pump for debris. The spin bearings should be checked also. The shocks, suspension springs, counterweights, and associated parts should be checked. To check the spider you will need to open the door and lift gently on the top of the spin basket. Do this in three positions by turning the spin basket. If one of the three positions has more slack movement, there will be a spider, (spinner support assembly), issue. Read More...
Barbara G April 20, 2018 for Model Number WF218ANW/XAA-0000 The washer has started chewing up the door boot, and it makes a substantial amount of clunking noise when spinning so I want to replace the spider and the bearings at the same time as I only intend to open up this beast once. From watching the video on the LG repair is looks like I should also replace the tub seal. Is there anything else that frequently needs replacing? Shock absorbers? Springs? I will also be replacing the door boot. Thank you.
1 Answer Barbara, For this you would only need to replace the bearing and spider along with the seal. The shock and the springs should be fine. Read More...

Ron November 26, 2017 for Model Number Samsung P801 DWNAC My machine washes but does not spin. While not spinning it sounds like it is still pumping water..
1 Answer Ron, You will want to check the pressure hose to make sure that it is not clogged or pinched. Also check to make sure that the unit is draining properly and if this checks ok then the issue will most likely be a pressure switch that is not resetting. Read More...

Robert August 17, 2017 for Model Number WF405ATPAWR/AA Machine/tub is wobbly/doesn't spin evenly. Wash washing a load, loud noise, rubber door boot was torn. Took front plastic tub off. How do I get to the spider arm? Would this cause the out of alignment/wobble/uneven spin?
1 Answer Robert, The spider would cause this issue and to get it out you will need to remove the stator and rotor off the back of the washer tub. Once removed you should be able to slide the inner tub out of the unit. Read More...
