Questions & Answers

For Samsung Range Oven Temperature Sensor (Part Number: OEM13029639)

Dave, Thanks for the question!!! This could be an ignitor DG94-01012A issue. You should also make sure you do not have a gas leak, this could require a technician to check.

John, the main control DE92-02588G can be tested for voltage output to the bake ignitor. If there is consistent voltage when the flames stop, the failure is in the ignitor. If there is not voltage, the oven sensor DG32-00002B would need to be tested for resistance and it should measure 2850 Ohms at room temperature. If it does not, the sensor would need to be replaced.

K, it would be recommended that the bake burner is inspected for clogged jets that could cause improper ignition. If the burner is good, the next step would be to test the safety valve DG94-00449A for 3.3 to 3.6 Amps during a bake cycle. If there is correct amperage and the flames cut in and out, the failure would be in the safety valve.

Charlie, For this issue, check to see if the igniter is going off and if it is not then the issue will be a relay that is faulty on the control board which the control board would need to be replaced.

Rickd, You will want to test the oven igniter to make sure that it is getting 120 vac to it. If it is and the igniter is not coming on then the issue will be a faulty igniter. If there is no power then the issue will be the control board. For the broil, if there is no gas flowing, test the oven safety valve for 3.2 to 3.6 Vac to it. If there is not proper power the igniter is weak and in need of replacement. If the proper power is there then the valve would be the issue.

Hello Carolyn, you will need a multimeter for this test, check the oven temperature sensor probe at room temperature 75 deg, and it should read about 1080 ohms, if it is correct then the control board is not able to regulate the oven temperature correctly.

Hello Dennis, check if the broil burner cycles the same way as the bake burner does, if it does then the control board DE92-02588J is faulty, if it does not, check if the glow bar ignitor for the bake burner is on steady the for the preheat cycle or does it cycle on and off, if cycling, replace the control board, if it is on steady replace the glow bar ignitor DG94-00520A.

Eddie, with the range unplugged, the warmer relay on the main control would need to be tested from terminal T01 to T03 for continuity. If there is continuity, the control DE92-03045A would need to be replaced as the circuit should be open.

Julius, with the gas to the unit turned off, and the back panel removed, the bake ignitor connection would need to be tested for 120VAC (from wire to wire in connection) when the bake setting is turned on. If there is 120VAC and the ignitor does not glow, then the ignitor DG94-00520A has failed. If there is not 120VAC, then there may be a wiring issue or the main control has failed. For the most accurate part number, the REV number would be necessary.
