Cl D January 30, 2015 for Model Number JES9800AAB What is the part number for Jenn-Air oven door inner glass?
Bob H. August 07, 2014 for Model Number ERSD 305, date purchased 12-29-98, S/N FC8520121 It appears both inner and outer door glass panels are cracked. Can you please give us the part numbers for both pieces? Any special instructions would be very helpful. Thanks, Bob H.
1 Answer Bob, the inner door glass is part number DE81-03804A and the outer door glass is part number 66273CH/L for chrome, 66273BR/L for black, and 66273CP/L for copper. To change the glass in an oven door, you will need to determine how to remove the door on the model number you are working on. If you open the door to the first stopping point, some oven doors will lift off the unit in this position. On other models, you will see clips on the back of the hinge toward the opening where the hinge enters the range. If yours is like this, you will open the door all the way open, then pull the clips down until they stop and lock in place. Then close the door to the stopping point and lift the door off the range. If your door does not lift off, and it does not have the clips, then you will open the door all the way open. You will see a hole in the hinge at the bottom of the door. You will insert a pin or nail into that hole and close the door to the stopping point. Then you can lift the door off the unit. Once the door is removed, you will lay it on a soft surface and disassemble the door. Pay attention and make notes if needed for reassembly of the oven door. Once you have replaced the door glass, you will reinstall the oven door back onto the range in reverse order of the way you removed it. Read More...
Kevin June 29, 2014 for Model Number Dacor Model ECPD230S How do you replace the Window pack on this unit? I've ordered the replacement part with seal, and need to know if there's anything special about the disassembly of the door to replace the inside glass that has cracked. Thanks.
1 Answer Kevin, This job will require a screwdriver, usually a Philips head medium sized, a shipping blanket or something similar to prevent the glass chips from going all over the floor. The power should be turned off to the unit to avoid the possibility of an electric shock. Open the oven door and remove the screws on the inside face of the door. If the door can be removed easily, you can remove it, but it is not necessary to do that. If you place the pieces in order as you remove them, this can avoid confusion and frustration during the re-assembly of the door. I also place the screws in order so they go back in the same holes in case of a difference in screw shaft diameter. The oven glass is usually held in by tabs, similar to a picture frame. Pull the tabs back to release the glass. Carefully remove the old glass from the frame. If it is broken, it is a good idea to wear mechanics gloves to prevent injury. For many newer ovens, you will have three layers of glass. Perform the same procedure for each pane. If you have a shop vac you can use this to clean up the glass shards so you don’t have to risk injury picking up the chips. When the old glass is removed, simply replace each pane of glass and press the tabs back in place for each one and replace the brackets or inside pieces of the door, and secure with the screws. Kathy May 07, 2014 for Model Number Dacor Wall Oven ECS130SCH I had a spill on the door window of my oven, which leaked between the glass. The door was disassembled to clean. Around the outside metal piece on the pack window was a thin covering that fell apart. I am hoping to replace it, but I don't know what its called. It is not the thermocord, which remains intact. Thank you!
1 Answer Hello Kathy, The thin covering you are referring to is only available by ordering the window pack. You can buy a roll of aluminum tape and use it in its' place but it really isn't necessary. When the unit is heated up, especially to self clean temperatures, it will deteriorate again. Also, the adhesive material on the aluminum tape may produce an odor that is undesirable and may add a strange flavor to you dish. Read More...

Traci January 27, 2014 for Model Number XFG361LVQ2 I have a gas range from Whirpool - not 3 years old - model # XFG361LVQ2. The interior glass has shifted down, so there is a gap between the interior top of the door frame and the glass window. I don't know whether I need to just replace the glass, replace the entire door, or what I need. Also is this a fix that I can do myself, or do I need to hire someone to do it?
1 Answer Traci, It sounds like there may be screws missing that would allow the inner door to lift in order for the inner glass to shift. Check the inner door to make sure that there are no screws missing. If so then replace with part number WPW10031790. Read More...
