  • Generates timed sparks to ignite gas burners when the control calls for heat
  • Replaces worn or cracked electrodes that can cause weak or no spark
  • Fixes symptoms like continuous clicking, one or more burners failing to light, or intermittent ignition
  • Works as the central spark module and electrode harness for multi-burner gas ranges
What's included: One 5-point spark electrode module kit (electrodes with harness/connector as shown) Install notes:
  • Disconnect power and shut off the gas supply before servicing
  • Handle ceramic/porcelain electrode tips carefully to avoid cracking
  • After installation, restore power/gas and test each burner for proper ignition

Steve, If the unit top burners are not sparking at all then the spark module would be the most likely cause or the issue. As for accessing you cannot just remove the under housing without removing the cooktop. The cooktop would need to be removed.

Hello Dave. Turn off the power. Remove the cooktop from the cabinet. Remove all the sealed burners and knobs from the cooktop. Then remove the cooktop from the burner box. Now you can access and replace the spark module on the unit.

Hello James, This is most likely a failed spark module DE81-03926A. It should stop sparking after sensing the resistance of the flame back through the ignitor.

Moira for Model Number PGM365

Oh help. Think the remodeler (more like helpless DIYers) have caused so much damage in my house. Now the left to burner on my cook top keep clicking even when ignited. I cleaned the base, etc., when they reinstalled it (moved a sink from corner to outer wall which meant I needed a new counter top. Is this model a re-ignitor? I need info to send the owner of this company. I told him not to come back, to give me my money back - minus new sink, window. He wanted to know if he send his best men, if I would reconsider. They had the same man who moved cabinets, reinstall this plus install the dishwasher. Well, Wednes. am my kitchen floor was flooded, floor ruined, cabinet base warped...... Seems they didn't know the drain hose has to be routed up to the bottom of the counter before being hooked up to the house drain. Their plumber came; said it was not the plumbing. Had service today and found it was. a very upset 80 year old.

Moira, This unit is a re-igniter model range and with the burner continuously clicking even when lit then the issue would be either a lost ground wire, a bad igniter 66958 or a bad re-igniter switch DE81-07650A.

Hello Brian. If there is power to the spark module, and no spark from the unit, you will need to order and replace the model. If there is no power to the module, the the spark switch may be bad and need to be replaced in the unit.

Hello Herb. Check and make sure there are no loose connections on the unit. If not, based on the information you provided, it sounds like the relay board DE81-09179A is bad and will need to be replaced.

Hello Gary. Check and see if there is a crack in the igniter. Also, make sure the igniter and the burner are clean and dry on the unit. If the igniter is good, replace the spark module DE81-03927A. Hope this helps.

Hi Mike. Your problem sounds like you need the top burner ignitors part # DE81-02696A. They are aged and prone to cracking the ceramic and then shorting to ground. The burner caps also need to be "cleaned" regurallry with a small brass brush to insure the ground path is correct. Make sure that the burner caps are set back on correctly also. Thank you.
