Ted September 13, 2020 for Model Number Dacor PGM365 I thoroughly cleaned all 5 burners, igniters, and control nobs to my Dacor cooktop. Only front two had been clicking. I did not use water so that cannot be an issue. When completed, everything worked fine. With the two front dual burners, as soon as I put a pot over the burner, it starts clicking again - pull it away and clicking stops. Put it back and clicking starts again. Any suggestions. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Ted, your model uses a reignition spark module to ignite the burners. Should the flame go out it will sense it and respark. It does this by the burner's flame rectifying the current from the spark module to the burner ignitor through the actual flame. Since it occurs when a pot is placed on the grate it means the flame is being altered in some way. If the burner's gas orifices are unobstructed you may need to replace the burner bases and caps next. Read More...
Chris April 30, 2020 for Model Number EOG52 Two of the three spark electrodes on my EOG52 grill were not firing so I decided to replace them myself. While waiting for my order to arrive I decided to do a deep clean of the grill. When the new electrodes came I immediately plugged one in to test it and it worked. I then had to take some of the grill apart to install the electrodes properly. When I was all done I flipped my switch and now I’m getting no sparks from any of them (not even the top electrode near the rotisserie which was never a problem. I believe power is fine. Not sure what to do to get them sparking again. Thanks!
1 Answer Chris, based on the information provided, it would be recommended that the wiring is inspected to ensure that the wires have not become loose or disconnected. As the known good electrode has stopped working after the repair, a wire being disconnected would be the likely cause. Read More...
3Quacks October 27, 2019 for Model Number Dacor EOG36 2 of the 3 burners on our Dacor outdoor grill (EOG36) continue to spark after ignition. I replaced all the burners and adjusted the distance from the burner to ignitor to match the burner that doesn't continue sparking, but they still spark. I've sprayed silicon into the control buttons to loosen them up, but I still don't feel a noticeable difference between the "push" position and the "normal" position. Also, our grill has a rotisserie that ignites as long as I keep the button pushed in. But, when I release the button the rotisserie turns off. Are these issues symptomatic of a bad buttons, bad ignitors, etc.? Thank you for you any assistance.
1 Answer 3 quacks, This issue would most likely be caused by a faulty spark module part number DE81-03926A. Read More...
Jim August 24, 2019 Dacor HCT365GSNG model ; it's a five burner: igniters on 2 of the burners the middle and the left upper keep clicking when using bottom right burner. They do light but still keeps clicking after ignition, have cleaned igniters. Would this be a module or igniter problem. Or? Worked fine them just started. Thank you
1 Answer Jim, There are several checks you'll want to make first, Is the wall outlet polarized and grounded, check that the burners are clean and rust and debris free, make sure the igniter electrode isn't cracked chipped loose or bent/damaged. Make sure the proper burner cap is on the proper burner base and when the burner is on, the flames are blue in color, long enough to reach the electrode and not too large or "lifting" off the burner. If all's OK replace the reignition spark module. Thanks, Read More...
1 Answer Gabby, if you could provide the model number of your appliance in a new inquiry, this will allow for the most accurate information possible. Generally speaking, when an igniter does not spark, a common occurrence is the possibility of grease potentially getting on the burner head and cap that can prevent the igniter from being able to spark to the burner head. The igniter and wire will also need to be checked for continuity if cleaning the burner head and cap do not work. Read More...
Kyle July 07, 2019 for Model Number JGP940BEK2BB All 4 burner igniters are firing when the stove is off and then when burners are on, the igniters are still firing. Timing varies...sometimes every 20 seconds, 45 seconds, 1 minute but sometimes it stops for a couple of hours but it eventually starts back. Any suggestions?
1 Answer Kyle, You will end up having to replace the switch harness. This part allows voltage to the spark module anytime a switch is turned on. If your sparking all the time then one of these switches has failed to open in the off position.WB18T10452 Read More...
Toni September 21, 2018 for Model Number Dacor cooktop When you turn all the burners on my 5 burner cooktop the flames all go out! Is it a ignitor problem.I have never seen this in all my years of owning 8 homes with cooktops. Never had Dacor and might have to replace it.
1 Answer Toni, With all the burners going out this would most likely be a issue with the regulator. Read More...
Kenny G March 27, 2018 for Model Number ERD30S06BK There is a four burner range top and only the right lower burner works. All burner dials turn on the spark of the right lower burner only. The other burner dials allow gas flow, but no spark (spark on the right lower burner and no gas flow through that burner). Is this an ignition module? Also, it seems like the igniters should be changed too, right? Thanks for your help.
1 Answer Hello Kenny. You will need to test and replace the spark switches firs on the unit. If good, then replace the module. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Stumped February 11, 2018 for Model Number Dacor GGC 365 Our Dacor gas 5 burner cooktop clicks constantly when the gas burners are turned off. When we turn on each or any burner, each one will light and the clicking stops.
Abhay February 09, 2018 for Model Number SGM364S Hi, My Stove Igniter has some problem. Even if all burners are off it still keep continuous spark until I turn on all 4 gas burner. I have unplugged igniter and currently using manual lighter to turn on gas (it works fine). If I try to plug in igniter cable, it keep spark all 4 burners even all 4 burners are turn off. Also couldn't find any video for replacing spark module for this particular model (similar to this). Please advise. Thanks, Abhay
1 Answer Abhay, Check to make sure the power to the cooktop is a properly polarized, grounded, 120 VAC outlet. Remove power to the cooktop and shut off the gas supply. Remove the burner grates, caps and knobs. Using the special; tool 86007C remove the burner orifice rings(you may want to mark or label the burner parts for location on the cooktop, it may make it easier for you when you replace the parts. Once you have everything removed and loose, raise the cooktop, and prop it up with a wooden dowel. Remove the foil covered insulation to access the spark module. Your machine has a "re ignition" spark module DE81-03927A / 86527, so you will need to check and verify the correct wiring at the module connections before you reconstruct the cooktop. Read More...
