The Door Gasket is an OEM part for Whirlpool refrigerators. This gasket forms an airtight seal around the refrigerator or freezer door, preventing warm air from entering and cold air from escaping.

Causes of a bad door gasket can include wear and tear from frequent opening and closing, exposure to temperature fluctuations causing the material to become brittle or warped, and damage from improper cleaning or handling.

Symptoms of a bad door gasket include:

  • The refrigerator door not sealing properly
  • Visible cracks, tears, or deformities in the gasket
  • Condensation or frost buildup around the door edges
  • Increased energy consumption and poor cooling performance

This OEM Whirlpool part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper and some Kenmore models.

Hello Mike, You can try heating the door seal with a hair dryer and see if the internal magnets will pull it up against the cabinet face. If this does not work, we will have to get you to verify the model number from the units' I.D. tag so we can look up the part number for your door seal. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.
