The Torx Screw is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool brand appliances. The Torx Screw is responsible for providing secure and stable connections between different components of washing machines, dryers, dishwashers, and more. These screws are characterized by their star-shaped drive design, which offers better torque transfer and reduces the risk of stripping or cam-out. Sold individually. 7-18 x 3/4"

Causes of a bad Torx screw can include stripping of the screw head, rust or corrosion from prolonged exposure to moisture, or damage from over-tightening or cross-threading. A compromised screw can lead to loose or insecure parts, which can affect the performance and safety of the appliance.

Symptoms of a bad Torx screw include:

  • The screw head being stripped and difficult to turn
  • Rust or corrosion visible on the screw
  • The screw not holding components securely
  • Loose or rattling parts within the appliance

This OEM Whirlpool part can also be used on Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore/Sears brand appliances.
