I have a gas top Whirlpool SCS3614LQ0 and one igniter does not work well. To replace it, I have to unscrew the two torx screws, While I was trying to remove the first one, the screw broke off. And when I googled about torx screw, some site said that you have to turn it clockwise to remove it. Is that right? I ordered 2 torx screws (AP6008125) from your site.

Hank, the Torx screw WP3368921 is going to be a standard thread and would be removed by turning it counterclockwise.

The pump housing cover inside of the dishwasher has lost a screw is this the correct screw? How do you keep the screws from coming loose?

Barry, If you have a similar model to the one on the diagram of the part then yes this would be the correct screw WP3368921. The screw should just go in and would not have anything that would hold it as long as it is tight.

I purchased my dishwasher only 2 years ago. One side of the handle keeps popping loose. Is there a replacement screw that I need to put in to keep it in place? Could you help me find the part #. I am trying to avoid an expensive service call if this is a simple fix. I was told (from Dick Van Dyke Appliance World) that this was not covered under the warranty since it is not a mechanical part. Thank you.

Hello Lauroeie. Make sure the post for the handle are not loose and if not, you will need to put some Loctite on the set screws WP8534008 and tighten them down so they don't back out.

What size screws hold this part up I cant see it.

Lou, In the control housing there will be 3 openings in the bottom in these openings there will be a 1/4" screw that will need to come out. Also in the side that goes back to the damper there will also be screws that need to be removed in order to get the assembly down.

I have been working with one of your reps to identify the torx screw that retains the burner to the orfice holder assembly. It is not shown on the drawing. I believe the correct part number is 3368921. My question is - is this a self tapping screw as it appears the orfice holder assembly hole is not tapped. Thanks John

Hello John. Yes, WP3368921 is the correct screw and is self tapping for the aluminum orifice holders.

Hello Lisa, Since there are several size screws inside an oven door, we will need to know which screw is needed. Most are W10491985 but there are also WP3196175. The hinges also use W10777162.

Hello Chuck, If you refer to pages 7 and 8 of the installation guide, it gives complete instructions on the gas conversion. In case you have lost your copy, re-post with an e-mail address and we can send a copy to you. The main top of the unit does not have to be removed.

Is this the screw that attaches the burner assembly? It appears so on the diagram, but wanted to be sure. My current burner screws are phillips, not torx. If so, should I replace all 8 screws? Of course, the two I need to remove to replace the ignitor are the only two I'm having trobel removing.

Hello Kenny. Yes, WP3368921 is the correct screw. They changed to torx to help prevent the stripping of the screws in the future.
