Dan W October 29, 2012 for Model Number SDE3606AYW I also need the bracket for the belt tension pully. Do you have this and how much does it cost? thank you.
Michael March 23, 2012 for Model Number NDE7800AYW The new idler wheel does not match the profile of the original. As the picture shows the surface the belt rides is flat, the original has the face stepped down to accommodate the narrow width the drive belt. Will the wider surface cause problems resulting with the belt jumping off the idler?
1 Answer Michael, As long as the belt is correct,(3/8 in wide and five(5) grooves) there will not be an issue with the belt fitting the idler pulley. You do want to check and make sure the original pulley is not distored from an alignment issue due to loose nuts and bolts, and bent or distorted parts. Good Luck and Thanks Read More...
Paul March 05, 2012 for Model Number NDE800AYW Is there a locking clip to secure the idler pulley to the shaft? I didn't find one on my dryer.
1 Answer Hello Paul. Yes, you will need to use the retaining ring WP23748 to hold the pulley on the shaft. Hope this helps. Read More...
Andrew January 08, 2012 for Model Number sde3606 Is there at update for this part? The reason I am asking is because oil-lite bearings like the one pressed into the idler pulley are not meant to work in a hot environment; right next to the dryer exhaust vent. There is oil impregnated in the bearing, but it will 'dry' out over time from the heat. If it starts to squeak apply a liberal amount of wheel bearing grease on the shaft and bearing surface.
1 Answer Hello Andrew! The bearing in the pulley has not been upgraded and does wear out over time. There is no way to grease the part more, due to it could catch on fire from the heat. It is the way the manufacture designed this machine. Hope this helps you, thanks! Read More...
John March 15, 2011 for Model Number NDE7800AYW Sounds like belt squealing when dryer turns on and after a few minutes it quits making the squealing noise.
1 Answer Hello John! Make sure you are not overloading the dryer. In the case that is it not being overloaded, you will need a new belt. The part number is WP40111201. Thanks! Read More...
Guest March 01, 2011 The tension wheel on the belt always squeeks. What oil or greese should you use to stop this?
1 Answer They do not recommend using oil or grease on these. It comes with lubricant made into the bearing. You will need to order a new wheel. Read More...
