The Bearing and Tub Seal Kit is an OEM part for Whirlpool washing machines. It includes high-quality bearings and a tub seal designed to ensure smooth operation and prevent water leaks. The bearings allow the tub to spin freely and quietly, while the seal protects the bearings from water and detergent, extending their life and the overall efficiency of the washing machine.

Causes of failure for these components can vary but often include water infiltration that leads to rust and deterioration of the bearings, or wear and tear from heavy or unbalanced loads that put additional stress on the seal and bearings.

Symptoms of a bad bearing and tub seal kit include:

  • Noisy operation, especially during the spin cycle
  • Water leaking from the bottom of the washer
  • The washing machine tub struggling to spin or not spinning at all

This OEM Whirlpool part can also be used on Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore/Sears brand appliances.

For Whirlpool Bearing And Tub Seal Kit (Part Number: OEM15975108)

Mattio for Model Number 110.26002010

I asked a question previous and was told that for my Washer machine “Kenmore model # 110.26002010” that I would have to replace the transmission which is part #W11132267 in order to change the bearings. Rather then buy a new transmission to replace the bearings for my model # 110.26002010. Do you believe I can just use for example: “Permatex Gasket Sealant part #80011” or any other type of gasket sealant that you recommend to place on the bearings to prevent leaks ? Another example of something I have on hand is “Permatex Hi Temp Thread Locker part # 59214”... Because that is my main focus for now is to stop any leak from the bottom. I already replaced the inner tub gasket already, but now I’m concern with the bearings. I wanna take extra preventative measures in the event it leaks again, because I’m almost sure the bearings are not as great and are possibly leaking as well. So just in case. I know it’s not a permanent fix, but at least for the time being until I can afford a transmission replacement. Thanks. - Mattio

Mattio, while it is possible that this could work, we would not be able to recommend an alteration from the manufacturer's design.

Hello Dave, your model does not use a drive shaft with spin bearings. Agitation and spin operations are done by the gearcase assembly W11132267.

Nick, Make sure nothing was left in the tub [tools, towel, etc] that would wedge the inner tub and stop it. Remove the rotor again and make sure nothing is hitting the rotor as it turns.

Jerry, You will want to make sure that you got all of the bearing out of the tub as this would be the most likely cause for the bearing to not fit. There should be no metal in the tub after the bearing removal and if there is then it needs to be removed.
