The Bearing and Tub Seal Kit is an OEM part for Whirlpool washing machines. It includes high-quality bearings and a tub seal designed to ensure smooth operation and prevent water leaks. The bearings allow the tub to spin freely and quietly, while the seal protects the bearings from water and detergent, extending their life and the overall efficiency of the washing machine.

Causes of failure for these components can vary but often include water infiltration that leads to rust and deterioration of the bearings, or wear and tear from heavy or unbalanced loads that put additional stress on the seal and bearings.

Symptoms of a bad bearing and tub seal kit include:

  • Noisy operation, especially during the spin cycle
  • Water leaking from the bottom of the washer
  • The washing machine tub struggling to spin or not spinning at all

This OEM Whirlpool part can also be used on Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore/Sears brand appliances.

For Whirlpool Bearing And Tub Seal Kit (Part Number: OEM15975108)

Jerry for Model Number WTW6800WW1 Whirlpool Washer

Bearing and Tub Seal Kit Part Number: AP5325033 Made by: Genuine Whirlpool part WTW6800WW1 Whirlpool Washer Hi - I was wanting to get the bearing sizes and manufacturer of the two contained within this kit before I order. Original Whirlpool OEM bearings in my washer are 6005DK (1133, KBC, Korea) and 6006DK (1142, KBC, Korea). I need to make sure yours are OEM because of past issues with generic, low quality bearings being passed off as OEM. Thank You

Jerry, unfortunately, the manufacturer does not provide the specific sizes of the bearings in the Whirlpool OEM kit W10435302. These parts come directly from Whirlpool.

Bryan, Thanks for the question!!! This kit is not for your model. If the bearing is causing the noise on your model you would need to replace the gearcase which is part number W11393685.

Nick for Model Number MVWB750WQ0

I have the exact same issue as Red Cow did on page 2 of the Q&A only a different model #. The kit of bearing parts (W10435302) had exact sizes as the old parts. The install went very well with the old bearings extracted with no difficulties. I used the jack method for tub removal, but with almost no pressure the tub eased off the shaft. There were 6 or 7 threads showing under shaft when I went to put the drive shaft nut on above the stator. But just like Red Cow, I had to lift the tub 8th to ¼ inch to install the gear and drive hub. Once operational, the bearings are quiet but now there is a knocking noise as the impeller moves back and forth during wash cycle. The spin and all other cycles are working fine. The hub driver and gear were not damaged when reinstalled. What could have gone wrong?

1 Answer

Nick, It sounds likely that the issue will be a tub that somehow was damaged. Also, check to make sure that there is nothing loose or stuck between the tubs.

Nate, The bearing and seal kit will not work for your unit. If your bearings have failed you would need to get the gearcase which is part number W11393685.

Richard, One trick techs use in the field is spinning the tub the opposite way then tap on your ratchet with a mallet. Hope this helps.
