Brad, There are not instructions for installation available to send but in order to get this part out you will need to first remove the light lens by grabbing at the back and pulling toward the back wall. Once you have the light lens off you will look at the back of the control assembly where you will see a hole on either side. Using a flat blade screwdriver you will put the screwdriver into the hole and push the clip until the control drops on that side then do the same on the other. Once they are both free you will pull at the back of the control assembly and roll it forward. You can then remove the part and reinstall the new one.

Hello Glenn. Note: The Program Code is located on the Serial Plate on this unit after the word Code. 1. Freezer Refrigerator P E 4. Entry is confirmed by pressing the Freezer Down key once more. Note: All control functions will be turned off (Compressor, Defrost, Evaporator Fan, the damper will remain in its current position) 5. The control will display the current Program Code. This value should be validated with the Program Code printed on the unit serial plate. 2 Freezer Refrigerator5 Note: If the Program Code is correct, the Programming Mode is exited by closing the Refrigerator door(s). 6. To set the desired Program Code number press the Freezer and Refrigerator UP keys. The corresponding digit will be advanced with each key press. 7. Once the desired Program Code is displayed, press the Freezer DOWN Key until the Program Code begins flashing indicating it has been saved. Note: If you attempt to enter an invalid Program Code the control will not save the new code, but will flash the old code and this will be displayed. (The unit will NOT run with a Program Code of 00). 8. Once the Program Code has been saved the Programming Mode is exited by closing the Refrigerator door(s). If the new code is incorrect this process should be repeated after closing the Refrigerator door(s).

I have the same ice dam problem as described by Ming (Jenn Air refrigerator Model/Serial JFC2087HRS/10208490EX) but I do not have the fan issue. The refrigerator seems to be working fine otherwise. I first noticed this problem 3 months ago when the refrigerator compartment would not cool to the proper temperature while the freezer still worked fine. I had a repair service in to fix the problem and they noticed the ice build up in the rear of the freezer compartment completely blocking the vent openings. There was also a frozen pool of water in the bottom the freezer. The repair person replaced the electronics controller board as he said this had probably been damaged in one of the many power blips I have in my area of NJ. It has been three months and the problem has returned. I had placed a power filter and control device on the refrigerator that keeps the power off to the refrigerator for 3 min. after a power blip. Is this most likely the electronics board again or is there some other possibility? Thank you! Tom

Hello Tom. It sounds like you may have a defrost problem with the unit. Check and see if there is any frost build up on the evaporator coils in the freezer. If so, you will need to test the defrost heater and the defrost thermostat. They should read closed for continuity when cold. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. I will include a link at the end to assist you how to use the multi-meter if needed. If both parts are good, you will need to replace the defrost timer. Once the problem is repaired, you will need to thaw out the ice on the coils before the unit will operate properly. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html

Hello Takeshi, If you look at the new board, there is a perforated line that the board will snap along. None of these will mount without snapping it in two. These are shipped like this to prevent damage in transit.

Mindy for Model Number GB9SHDXPS01

SYMPTOMS (since October): - intermittent buzzing noise from compressor; gradually gets worse - 2 or 3 times freezer/fridge stopped cooling and got warm - 2 or 3 times freezer has frosted over behind panel (frost over coils) and had to be melted down TESTING/REPAIRS: - All diagnostics from the control panel buttons passed - defrost thermostat circuit result of "shorted" (closed) which apparently is a good thing? - Tested heating element with multimeter, still good - Melted the ice and replaced the defrost thermostat with a new one RESULTS: - Compressor still buzzing, incrementally worse - Freezer not frosting up behind panel yet, but freezer and fridge still very cold (or if compressor buzzes a lot and runs hot, they stop cooling) QUESTIONS: - Is this likely cause the defrost timer on the control (jazz) board, even though all the control diagnostics seem to pass? - Would the buzzing in the compressor be caused by this problem with the control not turning on/off the defrost cycle, or is it likely the compressor is going bad? Or both? Thank you!

Hello Mindy. Based on the information you provided, the compressor is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit.
