Dan for Model Number WFW9200SQA12

When I power on the washer and press the start button, I'll hear it lock, unlock, then lock again, and then the time flashes. Sometimes, after the lock unlock sequence, it will inject water into the tub, unlock then lock, and then the time flashes. Over the past 6 months, I've been able to unplug the machine anywhere from 30 seconds to five minutes, and it usually clears this problem for a while. It's now becoming more frequent. Is this the control board that is faulty, or the locking mechanism?

Al, The F70 error code indicates a problem between the CCU(central control unit) and the U/I(user interface). You will want to retrieve the tech data sheet from the inside of the lower access panel on the front of the washer. Program the control for the diagnostics test and review the error codes logged into the memory of the control, then allow the washer to advance into the test mode or program the test mode and observe the washer operate. If all's OK, remove power to the washer, remove the top panel and check and clean all the wire harness connections at the CCU and the U/I, make sure all the connections are proper and have a tight fit.

Hello Doug. Either the new controller W10319816 is bad, or there is a wiring issue with the unit for the unit to have power, but not light up. You need to check and make sure the wires are good on the unit.
