Laurie April 23, 2017 for Model Number WFW9200SQ00 When I went to wash clothes this morning, the washer came on, but when I pressed start, it would only beep. I unplugged it and when I plugged it back up, none of the lights would come on and when you press start, it would only beep. Could this be the circuit board going out.
1 Answer Laurie, This issue will most likely be that the main control board is faulty and would need to be replaced. Read More...

Dan November 01, 2016 for Model Number WFW9200SQA12 When I power on the washer and press the start button, I'll hear it lock, unlock, then lock again, and then the time flashes. Sometimes, after the lock unlock sequence, it will inject water into the tub, unlock then lock, and then the time flashes. Over the past 6 months, I've been able to unplug the machine anywhere from 30 seconds to five minutes, and it usually clears this problem for a while. It's now becoming more frequent. Is this the control board that is faulty, or the locking mechanism?
1 Answer Dan, check and make sure the latch mounting screws are tight and alinged properly. check the latch/strike on the door. If all's OK, replace the door latch assembly WPW10253483. Read More...
Al May 03, 2016 for Model Number WFW9200SQ00 My washer will turn on for a couple minutes then stop then I get a f70 code on the display. I try to restart it and it will not just beeps, I can then unplug it for awhile then replug it in and it will start and do the same thing again. I was reading some blogs and it seems it might be the electronic control board how can i check this?
1 Answer Al, The F70 error code indicates a problem between the CCU(central control unit) and the U/I(user interface). You will want to retrieve the tech data sheet from the inside of the lower access panel on the front of the washer. Program the control for the diagnostics test and review the error codes logged into the memory of the control, then allow the washer to advance into the test mode or program the test mode and observe the washer operate. If all's OK, remove power to the washer, remove the top panel and check and clean all the wire harness connections at the CCU and the U/I, make sure all the connections are proper and have a tight fit. Mike M. February 01, 2015 for Model Number WFW9200SQA11 I am try to remove the Electronic Control Board part numbered AP4539793 can you please advise me thanks in advance.
1 Answer Mike, " To remove the touch-pad/LED assembly: 1. Unplug washer or disconnect power. 2. Remove the three screws on the back of the lid. Slide the lid backward and remove it. 3. To remove front console, door trim ring must first be removed. Open door and remove trim ring by pulling towards you. On Whirlpool models there are two additional locking tabs that must be unlatched first with flat bladed screw driver at the top of the trim ring. 4. Remove dispenser drawer. 5. Remove the two screws that are by the dispenser drawer. 6. On the upper side of the touch-pad/LED assembly there are 3 latches. On (WH) there are 4 latches. Unlatch them with a flat bladed screwdriver. 7. Remove the CCU. 8. Press with a flat bladed screwdriver the hook of the touch-pad/LED assembly in the hole outwardly aside. 9. Remove touch-pad/LED assembly. a) Pull the selector knob off the switch shaft. b) Press the console locking tabs, and unsnap the touchpad/LED assembly, then lift the assembly from the console and remove it." Lisa June 24, 2014 for Model Number WFW9200SQ02 I'm trying to replace this part, but I'm unsure as to which slots the wire harnesses go into on the larger black part since I didn't dissasemble it. I have two set of wires one is black (larger) and one is blue (smaller). I have six slots that are labeled (from right to left): PRG, UID, RV, SERVICE, EXP and UIP. Any guidance would be appreciated as I don't want to take a chance on wiring this thing up incorrectly.
1 Answer Lisa, The harnesses are designed to where they will only fit into one spot on the board. The 7 wire connector will go to the terminal with 7 wires and the 11 wire connector to the 11 wire terminal. Read More...
David April 20, 2014 for Model Number WFW9200SQ00 I was getting a F70/F71 error on the washer. I replaced the CCU. Now I am getting 3 beeps with no lighting up on the touch panel. I saw that these two errors were also asked about in the Q&A section. The answer to the 3 beep issue mentioned the control lock. How do I engage\disengage the control lock on the CCU? Also, the washer died in mid cycle so the door is locked. Is there a way to unlock the door manually?
1 Answer Hello David, This fault code indicates a CENTRAL CONTROL UNIT HEARTBEAT FAILURE. If a Central Control Unit Heartbeat Failure is displayed, no communication is detected from the Central Control Unit to the User Interface. Possible Causes/Procedure 1. Check for continuity of the User Interface harness. 2. Check wire harness connections to the User Interface and the Central Control Unit. 3. Replace User Interface if drum is rotating. 4. Replace Central Control Unit if drum is not moving. Read More...
Ron January 02, 2013 for Model Number WFW9200SQ00 I keep getting a F20 and F21 notice on my machine. What do I need to purchase or check to find the problem? I unplugged my machine and now it will not run a cycle.
1 Answer Hello Ron. The F-20 is for NO WATER DETECTED ENTERING MACHINE OR PRESSURE SWITCH TRIP NOT DETECTED. If after 30 seconds not minimum 0.1l of water entered or maximum fill time of 16 minutes is exceeded, the valves will be turned off and the error code will be displayed. Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display. Possible Causes/Procedure ¦ If there is no water in the unit: – Make sure that both valves at the water source(s) are turned on all the way. – Check for plugged or kinked inlet hoses or plugged screens in the inlet valves. – Verify inlet valve operation. ¦ If there is water in the unit: – Verify that the pressure switch hose is in good condition and properly connected to tub and pressure switch. 1. Unplug washer or disconnect power. 2. Verify there is not a siphon problem. 3. Verify wire harness connections to inlet valves, pressure switch, flow meter, and Central Control Unit (CCU). 4. Check all hoses for possible leaks. 5. Plug in washer or reconnect power. 6. Verify pressure switch operation. 7. Verify flow meter operation by blowing air through the part and measuring the resistance. 8. Verify CCU operation by running a Diagnostic test or any cycle. The F21 code is LONG DRAIN. Possible Causes/Procedure 1. Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked. 2. Unplug washer or disconnect power. 3. Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running. 4. Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects. 5. Plug in washer or reconnect power. 6. If the above does not correct the problem, go to step 7. 7. Unplug washer or disconnect power. 8. Replace the pump. Read More...
