Questions & Answers

For Whirlpool Electronic Control Board (Main) (Part Number: OEM15975144)

Joe, If the unit does not fill with water then you will want to check water supply to make sure that it is not clogged at the water valve. If the water valve screens are clogged will not fill. Also check to make sure that the pressure hose is not kinked or clogged. Check to make sure that there is power getting to the water valve when calling for water. If the unit fills and the motor sounds like it is running but nothing happening then you will want to check to make sure that the motor coupler is good. You will want to check the continuity of the latch assembly. With door closed you should have continuity. If no continuity then the latch assembly is bad.

Gordon, Since you were able to run the unit through diagnostics but will not start normally, this would most likely be caused by a faulty control board W10438123.

Andy for Model Number maytag centenial washer model mvwc300xw

Machine runs through cycle up to spin and then then door latch light and the spin cycle light flash non stop and it will not restart. I turn the control to spin/drain and restart but it will only spin occasionally. It does not completely spin and the laundry is still wet. It's like the machine is not removing all the water even though the pump seems to be working fine and is not blocked. Does the circuit board need replacing or is there a simple solution? Thanks

Hello Andy, This is most likely caused by the harness WPW10297440, the actuator WPW10006355, the control W10438123, or the motor WPW10303798. It is probably a good idea to pull the spin basket before ordering a lot of parts to make sure there are no items between the tubs causing the issue. You should also pull the fault codes as laid out in the tech sheet. This will be located in a zip-lock bag glued to the inside of the front panel. Be sure to put it back and reseal the bag so it can be located if needed again.
