Dave February 16, 2014 for Model Number GHW9150pw0 Hello, I have been looking at the other feeds. I have an F6 code error. When I ran the diagnostic check the motor never spun. I looked at the connectors and plugged/unplugged. Just put a new motor in and same code. From what I am reading, it sounds like the MCU, your thoughst? Thanks for your time, dave
2 Answers Dave, With the motor not turning then most likely the MCU is faulty and would need to be replaced. Read More...
Jim January 22, 2014 for Model Number GHW9150PW1 My washer keeps coming up with f06 and stops functioning. I reseated all connectors on CCU, MCU, motor, and all other misc. Connectors with no good results. From what I read it points to a motor speed error. The motor works fine and spins fine but it continues to come up with f06 . It happens at different times in the cycle and its always different. Please let me know which board or part sounds like the most probable cause. I am pretty sure I can not return part if it does not work. I can not afford to guess but if I had to guess I would pick main control board.
1 Answer Jim, The most likely cause of the unit coming up with the error code F06 would be a faulty Motor control Unit. Read More...

Ross November 06, 2013 for Model Number GHW9400PLU I am getting error code F11 indicating that the MUC board needs to be replaced. Is that correct? Could it be anything else? If so, is this the correct part number is 8182706.
1 Answer Hello Ross. Communication between the Central Control Unit (CCU) and the Motor Control Unit (MCU) cannot be sent correctly. Possible Causes / Procedure 1. Unplug washer or disconnect power. 2. Check wire harness connections to the MCU, the motor, and Central Control Unit (CCU). 3. Check the drive system for any worn or failed components. 4. Plug in washer or reconnect power. 5. Verify CCU operation by running a Diagnostic test or any cycle. 6. Check the MCU by looking for operations of the drive motor. 7. Check the drive motor for powered rotations. 8. Check that the serial harness at the MCU is not mounted upside down. The wires should be to the left when facing the MCU connectors. Read More...
Kyle November 04, 2013 for Model Number GHW9100L I have a Whirlpool Duet front load wash machine. After holding the start button, it will lock and just sit there. All lights look like it is ready to work but timer doesn't change. I ran the diagnostics and got F33 indicating a pump problem I think. I ohmed out the pump and it was Ok but the main pump cavity where the shaft goes into is full of rancid water. This is not normal, right? Also, the impeller has a great deal of play. Do I need a new pump? Thanks, in advance.
1 Answer Hello Kyle. No, that is not normal and it sounds like the pump needs to be replaced on the unit. Read More...

Brian777 October 25, 2013 for Model Number 11045872400 Is there any way of checking the MCU with a ohm meter to determine if it is good or not for Kenmore 11045872400? I've read other posts that reply to check for motor function? Could you be more specific, like if the motor is turning or not?
1 Answer Hello Brian777, You cannot check the MCU with an ohm meter. You can ohm out the wiring harness and run the diagnostic check, which is what we recommend to do. The tech sheet should be located in the base of the unit. This will walk you through the procedure. If the unit gives a fault code for a communications error, unplug and tighten up the connections to the boards one at a time. Read More...
Michael October 16, 2013 for Model Number 110 45089400 Washer will start washing and beep and the f 06 will come up and washer not working.
1 Answer Hello Michael. The control is unable to properly detect motor speed and the machine will shut down. If a failure occurs during high-speed spin, the door will be unlocked after three minutes. 1. Verify the shipping system including shipping bolts, spacers and cables are removed. 2. Unplug washer or disconnect power. 3. Check wire harness connections between the drive motor and the Motor Control Unit (MCU), and between the MCU and the Central Control Unit (CCU). 4. Plug in washer or reconnect power. 5. Check the MCU by looking for operations of the drive motor. 6. Check the drive motor for powered rotations. Read More...
