Dan May 07, 2013 for Model Number kuds01djss0 My dishwasher will heat during both the wash and dry cycles. Total cycle time is approximately 2 1/2 hours long. Incoming water temp at the kitchen faucet is 122F, and is approximately 100F in the d/w tub just after filling. Water temp in the d/w remains at approximately 100F for the first 45-60 minutes before cooling down. The "sensing", "add-a-dish", and "water heating" lights on the control panel remain lit during the entire cycle. Continuity test results of the various heating components are as follows: Thermal fuse .3 Ohms Hi-limit thermostat .6-.8 Ohms Thermistor 59-60K Ohms @ 69F room temp Heating element 9.6-10 Ohms I cannot find any loose or damaged electrical connections, nor any damaged wiring. I do not know how to test the control board. Any ideas? Thanks.
1 Answer Dan, It sounds like the unit is operating per specs. The dishwasher will try to heat the water to 140 degrees and if it cannot reach that temp within a certain amount of time it will progress through. You will want to make sure that the internal water temperature in the bottom of the dishwasher is a minimum of 120 degrees for the unit to operate properly. Read More...
Mongo April 18, 2013 for Model Number kudio1flbl6 Dishwasher just stopped working. Still water in the tub. No lights on or flashing. Think the problem could be the thermal fuse. If you agree how do I get to the fuse? Power to the unit is okay.
1 Answer Hello Mongo. Yes, it sounds like the fuse 8193762 is bad on the unit. To access the fuse, you need to disconnect the power and remove the inner door panel out of the unit. Once the inner door panel is removed, you can access the control board in the unit. The thermal fuse is located on the control board. Read More...

Metro February 27, 2013 for Model Number KUDS01DJ My dishwasher will not turn on. It just stopped working. No lights at all. Not a breaker problem. Everything else around it is working. Could it just be a fuse or do I need to replace the entire control panel? Thanks in advance
1 Answer Hello Metro. Based on the information you provided, you will need to check and see if the thermal fuse 8193762 is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Kathy February 19, 2013 Hello I just got my Bosch dishwasher model Number SHE43P22UC/64 and i washed my dishes and when they were done i opened the door and there was still suds in the bottom. What did i do wrong?? Also I have the following that says Refill, Rinse, and a light circle that says agent, sanitized are these lights suppose to come on when the dishwasher is on?? Please help me.
1 Answer Kathy, Suds in a dishwasher tub usually indicate the use of the wrong detergent, too much detergent for the water conditions. There may have been dry detergent deposits on the dishes, or in the tub. To dissipate the suds, start the dishwasher, add 1 or 2 teaspoons of cooking oil or powderred non dairy coffee creamer to the water and allow the dishwasher to wash for 5 to 10 minutes, or until the suds in the water is gone. Drain the dishwasher and run a rinse cycle to flush the tub and mechanisms clean. There are various lights that do illuminate during the cycle and at the end of the cycle as well. It sounds like you need to add or fill the rinse agent dispenser, and the water got to the proper temperature in a sanitized wash cycle (160 dgrs.F.) You'll probably want to review the owners manual that came with the machine to varify the proper loading, detergent and rinse aid usage, etc. Read More...
Don January 13, 2013 for Model Number 665 17032400 I have called a repairman to fix my dishwasher 4 times the first time he replaced the timer and when that didn't work he replaced the control panel my dishwasher was fairly new so i put the great expense to do this the second and third time he came and replaced the thermal fuse it worked the first time but the cycles would not advance. He wanted to replace to replace the control panel again. He Left telling me that it may be cheaper to replace the dishwasher I went on line and discovered that on both times all i needed to do was re reset the codes. well my dishwasher is not turning on again and suspect the fuse again. why is it blowing fuses every 6 months or so?
1 Answer Don, The control panel fuse could "open" due to several reasons, You'll want to check and make sure there are no loose connections in the electrical junction box on the bottom front frame of the dishwasher. Check and make sure you have the proper rated power supply to the unit. check and make sure the wires to the heater element and hi limit thermostat aren't loose or touching anything under the dishwasher. Then replace the fuse kit, you need to follow the instructions and use all the parts in the kit. Read More...
Kris December 11, 2012 for Model Number kuds01flss6 The clean light blinks 7 times and stops for a second then blinks seven times. this won't stop happening. I can't get the dishwasher to do anything. What parts do I need to replace? Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Kris, You need to troubleshoot the heating circuit. There are five components: the heating element, the high limit thermostat, the door switch, the control, and the wiring harness. There should be a tech sheet behind the kick panel which will show the wiring diagram. This should enable you to shoot through the circuit with an ohm meter. If it reads open from the control board, you will need to test each component individually. It will also guide you through a self diagnostic test that is necessary to run through to clear the code so the unit can run a cycle once repaired. Read More...
Lou November 12, 2012 for Model Number kudso1flbl3 unit keeps blowing fuses.any suggestions?. what is the amp draw supposed to be?
1 Answer Lou, Under ideal conditions the maximum amp draw on this style dishwaser will be 12.5 to 13.5 amps(with motor running and heater energized in a heated wash setting). You will need to check for loose connections at the junction box, heater element and thermostat, and the water fill leveland temperature(start the dishwasher aloow it to fill and wash for 5 minutes, open the door and remove the lower rack, the water level should be within 1/4 inch of the heater element bottom and the temperature needs to be 120 to 130 dgrs F. If all is OK you'll need to replace the thermal fuse kit 8193762. You must follow the instructions and use all the parts in the kit to repair the dishwasher properly. Thanks Read More...
Wayne October 11, 2012 for Model Number kudoi1ss1 The lights to the selections light up but the unit will not start. The unit belongs to an elderly lady that our church cares for ,so I'm not familar with the normal operation, and she does not have the owners manual. Really shooting in the dark.
1 Answer Hello Wayne. If the panel lights up, then either the door switches are bad or the control panel needs to be replaced. Test the door switches and see if they are good. If so, replace the control panel. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
