Peter July 10, 2012 for Model Number kuds01flbt5 My dishwasher door is now free falling; it offers no resistance. The dishwasher works fine when the door is securely closed. Can you tell me which part I need (See below) or both or something else? Thank you. AP3775412 (spring) AP3775412 (door balance link kit)
1 Answer Hello Peter. You will need to disconnect the power and pull the dishwasher out about 6 to 8" and check if the springs are broke or the cable is broke. Check both sides because it has springs WP8270182 and links 8194001 on both sides. The link kit does both sides, but you will need to order 2 springs if both are broke. Read More...
Charlie June 24, 2012 for Model Number KUDA220TWH4 Is there a door balance link kit for our model KUDA220TWH4? I'm only finding reference to a spring on searching. Does our model have to be pulled out to service this part? Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Charlie! Your model does not use a door balance link kit. Your unit uses the door spring WP4171383 and the right door hinge 4161594 and left door hinge 4161592. Your unit may have to be pulled out just a little, depending on how you have it mounted and the amount of room in the area it is located. Thanks! Read More...

Joe April 29, 2012 for Model Number KUDIO1FLSS5 Hello, both of my existing springs and link systems are off. I have no reference on how to replace them. If I buy the link system from you, will it come with diagrams on how to install them? It's not immediately obvious to me how the spring will connect with the frame of the unit and how the link kit will attach to the door itself. I can't attach the spring (which is fine) to the frame anywhere. Thanks.
1 Answer Hi Joe. Here is the link on ouir web site that you cansee thr view. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?model_id=5132123&diagram_id=29131808#d29131808 .You may want to replace both components. Mitch H. April 14, 2012 for Model Number LG 3850DD I'm trying to determine whether or not this link balance kit will fit my LG model dishwasher. It looks very close to the rope (with plastic ends) that I took out of the unit, but the plastic ends are just slightly different. Since there is no rope length mentioned, I cannot use that as a determining factor either. Can you offer any assistance with this question? Thank you, Mitch
1 Answer Mitch, the door balance link 8194001 is not manufactured for LG products. Please double check your appliance model number and resubmit a question for further assistance verifying the correct part used on your appliance. Thank you! Read More...
