Hello Bill. It has to be restricted inside the dryer if the heat is not venting out. Check the blower wheel on the unit. Something is blocking the hot air from being removed.

Hello Sara. Make sure the thermal fuse and door switch are good on the unit. If so, then it sounds like the motor may be bad and need to be replaced on the unit.

Laurie, To replace the door switch you will use a putty knife and go in between the front panel and main top and push in on the spring clips that would be located near the corner on each side. This will allow the main top to be lifted. Once lifted you will remove the 2 screws in the opening of the door and take the door switch out and install the new one.
