Charles September 14, 2014 for Model Number MED6000XW2 Similar to another poster, I loosened and removed two screws on the front of the housing, and two on the inside (inside the dryer), yet neither the outlet grill nor housing would come out so that I could replace one of the doors (end piece broke when cleaning out lint from drum with a flat vacuum hose). Seems like there's still something holding the housing in. Now what?
1 Answer Charles, In order to remove the duct you will need to remove the front panel of the unit so that the duct will release. Read More...
Jessica August 21, 2014 for Model Number MED8000AW0 Sounds like we need multiple springs; we were able to find only one when removing the jammed lint screen. How many springs are required when replacing both lint doors W10219016, and do you sell the springs, too? Thanks!
1 Answer Jessica, Based on information that we could find, it appears that the unit has 1 spring that for both doors on the lint trap. The part number of the spring is W11242876. Read More...
Jeffp August 14, 2014 for Model Number MED6000AW0 I have the same model as KLAUS with the same problem: broken lint doors (W10219016). I have read the instructions to him. Unfortunately, I can only find 2 screws on the inside of the vent assembly and only see 2 screws on the schematic. I can not remove the plastic vent assembly to properly install the new doors and springs. Can you tell me where the third screw is or how to release the assembly so it can be removed? Thanks.
1 Answer Jeff, There are only 2 screws holding the assembly in place but you may need to remove the front panel in order to get the part off. Read More...
Adam June 16, 2014 for Model Number WGD88HEAC I have a Whirlpool gas dryer (WGD88HEAC) and I put the lint screen in the wrong direction and broke both lint "doors" (part W10219016), specifically the tabs in the middle that held them in place. I was able to keep the springs and have ordered new parts. I have read all the comments about the other models and was wondering if you had specific instructions for this model on how to replace these two doors. Thanks!
1 Answer Adam, This is the best answer that we can give for the unit as there are not specific printed instructions on how to do it. Unplug dryer or disconnect power. Turn off gas supply to dryer. Open the dryer door and remove the lint filter screen. Remove the two front screws from the outlet grille. Remove the three inside screws from the outlet grille. Pull the moisture sensor away from the dryer and disconnect the black and yellow-red wires from the moisture sensor strips. Once you have the two pieces separated you can remove the old doors and snap the new doors in place. Read More...
Kevin May 06, 2014 for Model Number WED70HEBW How do I replace the lint doors and springs? Lint tray was inserted backwards and I broke both doors trying to remove it. I have the springs but can't tell where or how the doors and springs go back together.

Klaasjan April 15, 2014 for Model Number MED6000AW0 How do you install this part and can you send me some instruction?
1 Answer Hello Klaasjan. When you open the door of the dryer, there will be 3 screws toward the bottom of the opening. The 2 outer screws hold in the duct outlet housing. Remove these 2 screws and you will be able to access the door for the lint filter to change it. Read More...
Klaas April 12, 2014 for Model Number MED6000AW0 The screen was inserted wrong (and somehow went down despite the groove design to prevent it), and in trying to wiggle it loose, broke both w10219016. I just ordered two new ones from your site, but I can't for the life of me figure out where they go, even looking at the schematic on your site, and how to replace. I unscrewed two screws on the inside on the plastic housing, and two screws on the outside, but that is as far as I got. Can't seem to be able to lift out the plastic housing where somewhere inside, these parts belong.

Steve K. October 18, 2013 Part #59 (w10219016) on my Whirlpool dryer broke. Found it in my few month old machine. Can not figure out where it goes based on the parts schematic.
1 Answer Hello Steve, This will install in the front bulkhead. It is actually a flip up door to prevent items from dropping into the lint screen slot and damaging the unit when the items get down to the blower wheel. If we had the model number we could pull more detailed information. Read More...
