David, a plastic scraper or putty knife can be used to separate the adhesive off of the counter underneath the cooktop to be able to change out the dual element W10823694.

Bob, With the hot surface indicator staying on this would be an indication that there is an issue with the element itself not the switch.

Mark, with the unit unplugged, the element can be tested for resistance. If the serial number for your unit starts with 11 or higher, the element W10823692 resistance should be 44-49 ohms on both the inner and outer coils. If the serial number begins with 10 or lower, the element W10823694 resistance is 53-59 ohms for the inner coil and 38-42 ohms for the outer coil. If the element tests good, then the switch 12002121 has failed. If the element fails, then the element for your series would need to be replaced.

Terry, The Y0306222 / 10252502 HEATER,HALORING(1800W)ASSY has been discontinued by the manufacturer. The manufacturer no longer sells the part. We can no longer get it from any of our suppliers. There is no substitute for the part available to us and we don't know of any other source for the part. You may want to try contacting local parts dealers, one of them might still have it in stock. Enter your part number in a search engine, a smaller company might have it. Try eBay, Amazon or similar sites. Search by using the manufacturers part number. You can also try a local used appliance store, sometimes they have the same model or useable part for your machine. Thanks,

Vince for Model Number KECC567BBL2

The inner portion of the left rear burner on our stove top is out. It has seven connections - three on the outer radius of the sheet metal housing, four on the limiter. the photo of the W10823694 seems to show fewer than seven terminals. One of the photos shows an instruction sheet A30002 Rev 3, and another photo seems to show a couple of one into two jumpers. With the jumpers and instructions - will the W10823694 retrofit to our seven terminal dual element wiring harness? Can you forward the A30002 Rev 3 to me? thanks,

1 Answer

Vince, This element W10823694 will be the correct part for your unit. Keep in mind that the black wire that goes from the center element to the limiter box will not be used for the new element.

Ardner, The most likely cause for the elements to get too hot would be that the infinite switches are bad and would need to be replaced.
