David December 14, 2022 for Model Number KECC567BBS2 We have a KitchenAid 36" glass cooktop flush mounted in countertop. The back left large dual element has burned out on the low setting. Will this element work and how to get the unit lifted out of the countertop? Appears to have doublesided tape holding it in countertop!
1 Answer David, a plastic scraper or putty knife can be used to separate the adhesive off of the counter underneath the cooktop to be able to change out the dual element W10823694. Read More...
Bob D March 25, 2021 for Model Number GJ8640XBB0 My left forward burner quit working, and the hot indicator stays on. I have examined the heater element and there does not appear to be any breaks in the elements. The outer has 47 olms and the inner has 38 olms. Is this the switch bad?
1 Answer Bob, With the hot surface indicator staying on this would be an indication that there is an issue with the element itself not the switch. Read More...
1 Answer Charlie, Based on the information provided the model number does not come up in my resources as listed, it does, however, come up as SCE30600B and based on this number the left rear element part number should be: W10823694 Read More...
Mark October 11, 2019 for Model Number MEC5430BDB The outer portion of the dual surface element is not working on my Maytag Cooktop. The inner portion of the dual surface element is working fine. Does this indicate that I need to replace the surface element assembly with Whirlpool OEM Part #W10823694, or could it possibly be the surface element control switch?
1 Answer Mark, with the unit unplugged, the element can be tested for resistance. If the serial number for your unit starts with 11 or higher, the element W10823692 resistance should be 44-49 ohms on both the inner and outer coils. If the serial number begins with 10 or lower, the element W10823694 resistance is 53-59 ohms for the inner coil and 38-42 ohms for the outer coil. If the element tests good, then the switch 12002121 has failed. If the element fails, then the element for your series would need to be replaced. Read More...
Terry January 26, 2019 Need the front left burner element for model AK2H30HR, This is one of the two halogen elements on the top. Need the front left as you look at the top.
1 Answer Terry, The Y0306222 / 10252502 HEATER,HALORING(1800W)ASSY has been discontinued by the manufacturer. The manufacturer no longer sells the part. We can no longer get it from any of our suppliers. There is no substitute for the part available to us and we don't know of any other source for the part. You may want to try contacting local parts dealers, one of them might still have it in stock. Enter your part number in a search engine, a smaller company might have it. Try eBay, Amazon or similar sites. Search by using the manufacturers part number. You can also try a local used appliance store, sometimes they have the same model or useable part for your machine. Vince January 19, 2019 for Model Number KECC567BBL2 The inner portion of the left rear burner on our stove top is out. It has seven connections - three on the outer radius of the sheet metal housing, four on the limiter. the photo of the W10823694 seems to show fewer than seven terminals. One of the photos shows an instruction sheet A30002 Rev 3, and another photo seems to show a couple of one into two jumpers. With the jumpers and instructions - will the W10823694 retrofit to our seven terminal dual element wiring harness? Can you forward the A30002 Rev 3 to me? thanks,
1 Answer Vince, This element W10823694 will be the correct part for your unit. Keep in mind that the black wire that goes from the center element to the limiter box will not be used for the new element. Read More...

Ardner C November 14, 2016 for Model Number JES9800 Electric Downdraft Slide-In Range The two large elements on right front and left rear of my stove top get way, way too hot. We can only use these elements with a diffuser. Could the problem be with the thermostats that control the amount of electricity going to the elements? Can you give me an opinion regarding what might be the problem and the solution? Thanks.
1 Answer Ardner, The most likely cause for the elements to get too hot would be that the infinite switches are bad and would need to be replaced. Read More...
