I've a jenn-air 48" built-in refrigerator JS48SEDUDW , the problem is that I have to press the water or ice pad so hard to get it to operate and now the water pad only dispense water sometime mostly not. What part do I need and do I need to remove the whole stainless steel panel from the left door to get to the part sine it looks like there is no other way to get to it. Thank you.

Sam, With the water being difficult to dispense previous and now not working, the issue would be caused by a faulty paddle. The paddle is a microswitch that goes to the control board and it sounds like that switch has failed. The part number needed would be W10133603. The stainless panels would need to be removed in order to change the part.

Terry, Yes, To be able to remove the dispenser assembly you will need to remove the panels for the door.

I'm trying to replace the chute door (2180353) on my freezer because it isn't sealing tightly and condensation is dripping. I purchased the part and watched your video, but I have been unable to get the cover off. My refrigerator has cabinet look alike panels on the outside match the kitchen cabinets. These panels don't sit flush with the actual door underneath and block my ability to reach the locking tabs with a putty knife. I believe they are glued on so I can't take them off. Is there another way to get to remove the plastic cover? I can reach the chute door without removing any other parts, but would be unable to disconnect the wire harness for the old chute. Can I just cut the harness at the chute and put some electrical tape over it? Would that effect any of the other electronics? Please help! Thanks!

Alex, With you having custom panels that are glued on then there would be no way to get the dispenser cover off. The harness that is on the old dispenser door has been taken off of it so it would not hurt anything cutting the ribbon harness off the old dispenser ice door.

I am trying to release the front trim on my ref to replace the ice maker shoot. the bottom released fairly easily per you video' but the top won't slide up. I have pushed up fairly hard and I am afraid if I push much harder the trim will break. It is a stainless door ref. Is there something else holding it? Or is there something else to do to release it?
