Clay July 26, 2012 for Model Number MDB7601AWW Quiet Series 400 Door latch broke so I ordered AP4264083 w/handle. Latch tabs on panel also broke so I ordered a new Panel-Con #AP4365089. Replaced panel and it works fine. However, unable to get latch installed correctly. When fastened to panel with screws, back of latch sits too high and won't sit in tabs. Handle does not fit properly in panel and won't latch to dishwasher. Do I have the correct parts?

Bob H. June 22, 2012 for Model Number mdb7600aww, part number W10130697 I received and installed the part/latch assembly. It does not latch securely. There is no adjustment to the latch strike nor to the latch assembly I just installed. I have successfullly done this repair before. It apperas to me that the latch assembply does not fully "click", thus latch is not secure. The dishwasher appears to operate but the door is not secure - therefore fear leaks. What do do?
1 Answer Hi Bob. Remove the bottom kick plate. Use a flashlight and make sure all 4-legs are firmly adjusted to the ground. Then remove the lower rack and use a torpedo level side to side and front to back adjusting the level legs so when the tub remains level when the full load is hot in heated dry. This way the tub does not sag and the latch assy. does not break. Part # W10862259. This is a very probable cause of a common failure from installation issues. Thank You. Read More...

Jamie B. June 01, 2012 for Model Number MDB4651AWS1 After talking to James, I ordered the latch assembly for this dishwasher. According to your website (and James), part #AP4264559 was a new replacement part number. After instsalling the latch assembly, the dishwasher will not click completly and therefore will not operate. After taking the switch out again and comparing the original and the replacement, I can see that the handle is much ticker than the original, and therefore will not allow the handle to protrude through the hole in the control panel when you close the door. Is there a newer part number out there, because this one is not an adequate replacement?
1 Answer Hello Jamie. This is the correct latch W10862259 for the unit. You will want to make sure the latch, when installed, is snapped into the plastic clips inside the control panel, and the unit is aligned up properly on the door. If not, you will have the issues you are having. Based on the model number, this is the manufacture replacement latch for the unit. Read More...
