John G November 11, 2011 for Model Number 10657022601 The person above who asked the question regarding the broke plastic retaining ring is close to my problem. Only thing is what broke on my Sears Kenmore was the plastic that holds the door shute at the pivot point is broke. THis is actually molded into the dispenser housing, which sears parts says is no longer available and they want $481 for a new door. Can you help with a new or used dispenser housing? Thank you, John

Paul August 19, 2011 for Model Number Kitchen Aid Supra Refrig The plastic retaining "ring" for the ice lever has broken across approximately 120 degrees. This allows the bar at the top of the lever to fall out of position and thus render the ice dispenser lever inoperable. A service call gave me the info that this part was no longer available and thus the answer was, "buy a new door or refrigerator". Does anyone have any suggetions on how to fix this very small plastic piece and/or an after market source for the part? The broken piece is gone.
1 Answer Hi Paul You will remove the Fountian spill catcher. Take the 2-screws out of the bottom of the fountian. Remove power. Lift and remove fountian control. Mark all wires so you can reconnect them upon installation. The ice door kit will help assure the flapper closure. Part # is W10823377.
