Jack August 31, 2011 for Model Number Du1100xtpq I have a loud noise when the dishwasher runs, then I disassembled it. The motor from the Housing, cleaned all the plastic parts and reassembled the parts. I ran the motor outside the of the unit and really heard the motor only, no squeal. Can you give me any guidance?
1 Answer Hi Jack. Have you got anything in the Chopper assy. part # W10083957V. If the blade gets bent or chipped it will wear on the screen assy. and make a noise. Did you realign (upon assembly) anything is moving against one another? The circulation motor is part # WPW10757217. Thank you. Read More...
Dominick August 09, 2011 for Model Number KUDM01TJBT0 How do you remove the impeller from motor assembly AP443401? I understand it is threaded onto the motor shaft. Do you turn the impeller in a clockwise direction to remove it and how do you stabilize the shaft when removing the impeller? Thanks, your Q&A blog is the best.
1 Answer Hi Dominick. Our picture does not show us the back side of the motor assembly. The end bell should have air openings to the rear end of the motor. You will be able to stop the fan blade from turning by sticking something in to stop it as you will then unscrew the impeller as you need. It should be a counterclockwise method of removal. B H. July 27, 2011 for Model Number KUDPO2CRBL2 The problem is that the new motors do not have anywhere to plug in the red wires. On part #AP4434612 or #AP4434021 both of these motors are the newer style?
1 Answer Hi B.H. The red/blk. wire hooks to the V. point connection on the motor. The capacitor hooks one side to the V., and the other side the common side of the motor. In the control panel area there is a wiring diagram specific to your model. Hope this helps. Thank you. Read More...
B Henderson July 26, 2011 for Model Number KUDPO2CRBL2 ordered new circulation pump motor o ring Ect.#AP4434021 the lady that i have talked with said that it should be #AP4434612 witch is the hole assembly all i need is the motor and seal Ect. my assembly is fine can the other motor be used and if so what do you do with the other wires Old motor has two plugs one with three wires the other plug has two wires and it gose to the windings on the motor.
1 Answer Henderson, You'll do fine with either part. for the best and easiest results, you will need to remove the pump assembly from the tub. Once you have better access and are involved in the "teardown" you'll find you have two(2) harnesses, one for the circulation motor and one for the drain pump motor. Located off to the side of the pump housing. You'll do fine. Thanks and Good Luck Read More...
B Henderson July 23, 2011 for Model Number KUDPO2CRBL2 Came home to find dishwasher very hot water in bottom steaming. Took apart and found that the seal between the pump and motor must be bad shaft had rusted and bearing very ruff turning. Real question, is it worth fixing or is there going to be a recall on this model? I hear there have been fires in the control boards. Why can't you just buy the motor and a seal kit? Thanks and there is a lot of info on this page.
1 Answer Hello B. Henderson. The manufacture does not offer just the motor, you will need to order the assembly WPW10757217. If the motor is dragging and is rusted, you will need to replace the part. Hope this helps. Read More...
Roger M. July 21, 2011 for Model Number KUDM01TJBL0 My dishwasher would partially fill but would not circulate, (or go into wash mode). I felt the Circulation Motor and it was very hot. Why did it not blow the fuse, or is their a fuse in this circuit? This happened several times.
1 Answer Hi Roger. Did your circulation motor get clogged internally, causing a siphon lock ? There is a motor overload protector that should open the circuit to the motor if it overheats or draws too many amps. If your motor windings are weak and internally short (when hot), It will physically get hot also. You said it only partially filled. If the float stuck out of position on the level switch, then possibly it will not allow the water valve to be engaged for a complete water fill, and causing issues. This part # is 8193506. If the pump motor is bad this part # is WPW10757217. Thank you. Read More...
