1 Answer Roger, Yes only the shaft seal kit is available separately. In order to acquire the impller, or the volute, you will need to order the circulation motor assembly. The manufacturer has decided to supply certain replacement part(s) as an assembled component. I believe that I will need to replace the pump assembly. Are there seals that need to be replaced when I replace the pump? Do they come with the pump? Do you have instructions for replacing the pump? I can not afford to have it serviced by a professional, however, I am a skilled repair person. Thank you.

Since the end of the spindle is now broken, don't we need a new spindle and whatever it is attached to? And, yes, we have checked to see if the drain hose and the air outlet are clogged, and they are not. I can hear the motor work, and then I can also hear a different motor-type sound when I think the pump is trying to work. The sound changed now that the chopper blade doesn't fit any more.
1 Answer Hello Ginaballina. The chopper assembly attaches to the pump motor assembly WPW10757217. This is the circulation pump for running the water inside the dishwasher. Ginaballina June 07, 2011 for Model Number kuds01dj The dishwasher suddenly stopped draining. The first few times we could press the little button a few times after it was done and it would drain, but now it doesn't even drain then. We attempted to replace the chopper blade, but it won't attach correctly to the spindle it goes on, that part seems to be broken (maybe we broke it, maybe it was already broken). Do we need a new pump??

If they are clear and there is power coming to the pump during the drain cycle, you will need to replace the drain pump WP661658. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
