1 Answer Kathy, No the motor pulley WP6-2008160 / 6-2008160 is a single piece unit. it has a set screw to attach it to the motor shaft. At one time, there was a two piece pulley, but it was " short lived" and replaced by the original one piece drive pulley, like the one you'll receive. Thanks Read More...
Keith September 30, 2014 for Model Number A212S I suspect the motor pulley (200816) may be defective, but don't know what it is supposed to look like. The 2 halves of the lower pulley (pump drive) can move a quarter turn in relation to the upper pulley. Should the 4 halves or 2 pulleys be fixed or solid to each other?
1 Answer Keith, The pulley should have no play between the halves and with yours having a quarter turn then it would be faulty and need to be replaced. Read More...
Tracy February 25, 2012 for Model Number LAT5916AAE I HEAR A SQUEEKING NOISE COMING FROM UNDERNEATH THE WASHER. COULD IT BE THE PULLEY THAT THE BELT IS ON. IF SO I NEED THE PULLEY AND THE BELT.
1 Answer Tracy, It's not likely you'll need the pulleys, They both, can be cleaned, using som,e fine sandpaaper or emory cloth. But you should be repalcing the belts 12112425, and lubricate the motor carriage rollers 205000 with a liberal coating of "vaseline". Thanks and Good Luck Read More...
Curt O November 11, 2011 for Model Number LAT2500AAE Washer empties but locks up in spin cycle & belt slips. Unsure about disassemble and if cost of the repairs will warrant repairs
1 Answer Curt, If the washer agitates and drains, but won't spin, theres a 90 % or better chance you have a seized tub bearing. You'd need to remove both tubs and all components inside the tub to replace the tub bearing and tub seal assembly(s) 6-2095720 6-2040130 12112425 and a spanner wrench TB123B. if that's the case. totest the transmission, raise the front of the washer and block it up, remove the drive belt to the center pulley. Turn the pulley counterclockwise and the agitator should oscilate back and forth. Turn the pulley clockwise and the tub should start to turn/spin in 1/2 to 3/4 of a revolution( you may even hear or feel the bearing "break loose" if you do it right. It usually takes 60 or so minutes for a DIY'r to perform and worth the time and effort(in my opinion). Good Luck and Thanks Read More...
