Shawn June 27, 2012 What is the difference between shock absorber 8182703 and 8182812? Are they basically the same / interchangable? The 8182703 is for model # GHW9150PW0 and 8182812 for model # GHW9150PW4. These model numbers only differ by the last digit. Does this make that big of difference? Please help.
1 Answer Hello Shawn! Yes, the last digit in the model number indicates the manufacturer changes to your appliance. Unfortunately, we do not have the specs on the parts to verify the difference in the shocks. We will need the full appliance model number to verify the shock used on your appliance. Thanks. 1 Answer Hello Stephane. The tub is held in position by four shock absorbers, two in front and two at the back. Each shock absorber W10822553 can be disconnected from the tub by turning the top of the shock mount counter clockwise, 90°. The shock can be removed from the washer by turning the bottom shock mount counterclockwise, 90°. Read More...

Eric February 26, 2012 for Model Number WFW9150WW01 My washer shakes badly when a load is present. I have removed the botttom panel and seen some grease like substance on one of the shocks. Would this be a safe bet to replace the shocks? What exactly is meant if tub spins freely when turning the tub?
1 Answer Hello Eric. The inner basket should turn freely and have no play in it. If it is loose, you will need to replace the outer tub assembly W11239040. If it is not loose, you will need to replace the shocks W10822553 on the unit, based on the information you provided. Hopoe this helps. Read More...
Matt January 29, 2012 for Model Number MHWE200XW00 I just got done replacing my bellows and I noticed the 3 shocks inside of my unit. It seems like an odd design to only have 3 especially when there are holes for 6 total 3 per side. On one side there is something blocking one of the shock holes but on the side with one shock there are 2 open holes was wondering if it would help to reduce vibration by adding at least 1 more shock so that there is 2 on each side?
1 Answer Hi Matt. This unit is only designed for the 3- shock absorbers part # W10822553. If there is any visible grease leaking and if the shock compresses easily on it's own, then replacing them is a good effort weel spent. Thank You. Read More...
Bob January 29, 2012 for Model Number GHW9150PW4 How many shocks do I need if I replace all 4,and should I also replace springs as a precaution if yes how many springs. Hope this fixes my out of balance issue ?
1 Answer Hi Bob. Yes,you need to replace all the shocks at one time. part # W10822553 4-of them needed. The top springs can be bad if they look stretched part # W10135004. They come in a set as one set is all you need. However it has hardly a issue if one shock has failed. Thank You. Read More...
Chuck September 01, 2011 for Model Number WFW9200SQA12 I have a washer that works perfect except when is going into high speed spin cycle, It cluncks and shake very bad. Is this the shock or springs that need to be replaced on this machine?
1 Answer Hello Chuck. You will need to turn the inner tub by hand and see if it feels loose. If so, you will need to replace the outer tub assembly 280232. If it is tight and the tub does not drag, you will need to remove the toe panel and back access panel and inspect the shocks W10822553. Hope this helps. Read More...
