Philly, Check and make sure the dishwasher is level in both directions and properly secured to the counter. remove the lower rack and lift the float several times, and listen for the switch to "click" and the float to move freely. If all's OK, remove the lower spray arm and check for debris in the openings and split or cracked seams along the edges. Start the dishwasher, let it fill, and wash for 3 to 5 minutes unlatch and open the door and check the water level in the bottom of the tub, the water should be 1/2" to 3/4" deep.

Philly, as the water is cold and the water in the dishwasher is hot, it would be recommended that the water inlet valve W11175771 is inspected to identify if it may have a slight leak.

Hello Susan, I'm sorry but the kit W10542314 appears to be the only way to obtain the strike. This has been set up this way by the manufacturer.

Oleg, You will want to check to make sure that the door strike and the door latch are lining up properly in order to latch. Also check to make sure that the strike has not shifted back which would also cause the issue of not latching. If the door is not lining up then it may be an issue of a warped hinge or the unit not being level.

Hello Dan, I doubt the issue is electrical since the door doesn't lock, but latches, (a mechanical action). If the tech had to bend and twist the door, the issue is most likely a misalignment due to the door hinges, right hinge W11612303 left hinge W11612302, being malformed or the unit is not secure or in a bind under the countertop/cabinets. Since the door strike will affect the operation of both door switches, this will affect unit operation. It can even cause the door to try to "spring" open since the door panel isn't striking squarely on the door seal area. Since the latch strike has been manipulated, it may need to be replaced also.

Hello Scoot. The unit may not be level. It could be the seal W10864081 or the gasket causing it as well. Usually the level of the unit is the issue.

Hello. You will need to uninstall the dishwasher to install this part. It is located on the top of the dishwasher, on the frame. Hope this helps.
