Rose September 06, 2013 for Model Number et8chkxkb05 I took apart the fridge bottom crisper and a white steel bar fell off the glass crisper cover. I can't seem to get the bar back on is their a video. or can you tell me exactly where the bar goes. George May 28, 2012 for Model Number kenmore 1069751714 Recently my food was beginning to freeze and I attempted to adjust the temperature. The knob on the left was very hard to turn but I turned it to "2" which it says is a very warm temp. However the food is still freezing, (I don't think the dial is working) any ideas? There is a sticker on the temperature control unit (it must have failed with a previous owner) that has a part # of 2176311, but I can't seem to find out what that is.

Paul July 08, 2011 Thank you for your response. In follow up, I'm wondering if I'm ordering the right part. The shelf above the crispers have nothing holding them up in the front. There are holders on the refrigerator walls with a groove for something to go into, to hold up the shelf. Whatever holds it up is missing. Is that the support bar or something else? FYI, inside of fridge is Approximately 26" The support bar I ordered will not even fit across the front of the fridge. Also, I wanted to mention that the other 3 parts I ordered from you guys worked perfectly. Thanks for your help! -Paul

It appears to be the same length as the one pictured above. However, Measuring across the front of the fridge, it appears I need something more along the line of a 26". Todd April 25, 2011 for Model Number ktrs21kfwh00 Does the shelf support (pt#15) work with the original crisper shelf that came with the kitchenaid ktrs21kfwh00 (13yrs old)? I've looked on the bottom of the shelf and I see the track where it should fit, but there was never a support in my unit. The shelf is bending in the middle under the weight from the crisper drawers, and I'm concerned that the support bar will simply pop out on one side as the shelf bends into a "U" shape.

1 Answer Veronica, you'll need to remove the crisper bins and shelf from the unit and turn the crisper shelf overWP2314549, along the front edge of the shelf assembly, you'll see the molded track where the support rod WP2172748 is inserted into the shelf.
