For Whirlpool Thermal Fuse (Part Number: OEM13269576)

James you will want to check for power at the supply to make sure that there is 120 vac getting to it. If this checks ok then check the control board to see if there is power, if there is power then the control board would be the issue.

Brian, If the clean light flashes 7 times in sequence then this would be a heating circuit issue and you will need to check the heating element, thermal fuse, the wiring to the control board and the control board. Test the element and thermal fuse for continuity. if there is continuity they are good. If they check ok then check the wiring between the heater and the control board, if it checks ok then the control board would be the issue.

Stephen, First check the wiring connections at the junction box on the front frame of the dishwasher. Make sure the connections are good and tight, and no discoloration to the wires. Then check the wires and connections at the heater element terminals. Then get access or use of a multi meter and check the voltage of the dishwasher while it's running. insure the voltage remains above 110 VAC. Replace the thermal fuse kit and make sure you follow the instructions and make good solid connections.

Hello Michael. You will need to check and see if the door switches are good. If so, replace the control panel WP8576134 on the unit.

Gary for Model Number GU2275XTVY3

The D/W stopped working after completing a cycle. I removed the board and found that the ribbon cable appeared to be damaged where the board cover touches it. I reassembled the unit and tried it anyway. It ran one complete cycle. Now it is't working again. I have power to only some of the control buttons. I assume it is the ribbon cable but it doesn't seem to be replaceable without changing the control strip. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for your assistance

I'm not getting any power to the touch display at the top of the door. I removed the controller board and it looks burnt around P8 and P9 terminals. I'm wondering if this is an issue with the connector or the board itself. I'm wanting to purchase a new controller but am not sure that is the sole problem. I checked the power into the junction box at the bottom of the unit and it seems fine. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Chris

Chris, Your post indicates several possibilities that will need to be checked/tested. First check and make sure the electrical connections in the junction box are proper, including the ground wire, also make sure the connections are good and tight. At the control panel, check the thermal fuse W10258275 for a "closed" circuit with a meter, it'll probably have an "open" circuit and needs to be replaced. The P9 connector on the control board is the heater circuit so you will need to check the element WPW10082892 to see if it is damaged or broken, check the hi limit thermostat WP661566 for a closed circuit at room temperature and check all the wires that attach to the element and thermostat. Once the repairs are made, start the dishwasher and let it fill and run a few minutes(4 or 5 mins.) then stop the machine open the door and check the water level in the bottom of the tub. Make sure the water level is at least above the top of the wash pump accumulator and as high as the bottom of the heater element.

Paul, If the unit is loosing power during the cycle then you will want to check the power supply connection in the junction box under the unit. The other thing that you will want to check is the wash motor to make sure that there is not a high amperage draw.
