Spelldog, If you jump started the icemaker then it should have brought water into the icemaker when the icemaker calls for water. Check to make sure that the fill tube is not froze but if it is not then the icemaker would be the issue with the unit.

Nick, We know the power is there if you can manually cycle the icemaker. So temperature might be an issue. Check condenser coils and make sure they are clean. Dirty coils can warm up the freezer enough to affect the ice maker.

Hello Badgersky. You have to insert a jumper wire into the holes of T and H to start the harvest cycle of the icemaker. The door switch will also need to be closed. Thank you.

66dog, You will want to check the fill cup for the icemaker to make sure that it is not frozen. If this is frozen then the issue will most likely be a water valve that is faulty. The part number for the water valve would be W10408179.

Phil, If you use a jumper wire with the ends stripped and put between T and H on the motor module and it should start the icemaker cycle. When it gets to about the 11:30 position then make sure that there is 120 vac to the valve. If there is proper voltage to the valve then the valve is faulty and if there is no power then the icemaker will be the issue.

Hello Bob. Make sure the freezer is between 0° and 5°. You need to check and see if there is power going to the water valve when the icemaker cycles. If so, replace the water valve on the unit. If not, or the icemaker does not cycle, you will need to replace the icemaker on the unit. Also, check and make sure the fill tube on the unit is not frozen and clogged. If so, replace the water valve and thaw out the fill tube. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html

Duane, No the icemaker cycling thermostat would not cause this unit to not cool. This would be most likely caused by either the unit stuck in defrost which no fans would be running and the compressor would not be running or a start relay that is bad which would keep the compressor from running.

Dan, To test the thermostat on the icemaker you would remove the cover on the icemaker and remove the icemaker module. Once this is done, at the bottom of the housing there will be 2 pins that you test for continuity. If no continuity then thermostat is faulty and needs replaced.
