William June 22, 2017 for Model Number MVWB725BW0 I ordered a new drive shaft and bearings from another company but it appears I'm going to need a whole new outer tub. Is there any way to purchase the outer tub alone without the drive shaft?
1 Answer William, Unfortunately the outer tub of the unit comes with the shaft and bearings and cannot get it without them. Read More...
Doug February 20, 2016 for Model Number WTW8000BW0 Our Cabrio washer recently started making a load humming sound during the spin cycle - sounds like a race car. I am thinking this is likely a main bearing? Is there anything else that could be happening? If it is the main bearing, it appears that I must replace the entire outer tub? If so, might be better to replace the entire machine for a couple of hundred more...it is only two years old.....but the outer tub is $325.... Suggestions?
2 Answers Doug, If the unit is making a loud roaring noise during the spin cycle then this would be a main bearing issue and would need to be replaced. Read More...

2 Answers Hello Doug, You will need to determine if you like the machine well enough to make the investment. You should also consider the fact this is a complete tear down and you need to have the ability to perform a complex repair on a home appliance. Read More...
Kathy December 29, 2014 Does the outer tub replacement part come with a new bearing for a Whirlpool Cabrio?
1 Answer Hello Kathy, Most Cabrio models spin bearings are only available with the outer tub assembly. Since there are sometimes exceptions, I would recommend looking this up by the model number on your units' I.D. tag, or you can re-post and we can look it up for you. You can also call us at 1-877-477-7278 and one of our representatives can look it up for you. Read More...
Tammy J November 04, 2014 for Model Number WTW6600SW2 We purchased this washer from a friend, it was only used a few times. They did have well water and the iron content was very high. We also have a well and iron too, but not real high. After awhile we noticed some of our clothes(light colors) getting stains of iron or rust and also grease spots. We also got alot of codes of E4 and E7. Now water is leaking from underneath the washer, enough to soak to bath towels, Should we scrap it?
1 Answer Tammy, Based on the information it sounds like the issue may be a leak with the bearing. The bearing can be replaced or you may want to replace the outer tub. The part number for the Bearing is W10435302. There is a tool required as well and is part number W10447783. The outer tub part number is W10193886. Read More...
