This outer tub is the washer's sealed outer container that holds the inner tub and water during wash cycles, restoring the cabinet's water containment and structural support for the wash basket. What it does

  • Disconnect power and water supply before starting; turn off the breaker and shut off water valves

Hello Ed. If the front tub does not have any holes in it and can be cleaned up with no burs, you can still use the old front tub assembly. Hope this helps.

Hello Roger. You can remove the back access panel and see if the bearing has been leaking, or if it has play in it. If so, the tub assembly will need to be replaced. The clapms pull off and push on. You can use channel lock pliers to remove them and a small hammer to tap the down onto the tub. Be careful not to crack the tub. They do not make a special tool to install these. Hope this helps.

Hello Jeremy. Check the spin basket and see if it is loose, rubbing the outer tub. If so, the bearing is bad. Hope this helps.
