Derek May 08, 2013 Does this come with instructions on how remove the tub including the belt removal and replacement
Ronny April 23, 2013 Hello. In the photos it appears to part (Tub-Outer), I can appreciate a grease. This grease sell it separately? or can give me an alternative to this grease, performing the same function of protecting the water from entering the bearing
Jman February 14, 2013 for Model Number WFW9200SQ02 I need to replace the outer tub bearings on this washer. I see you offer the whole outer tub which looks like it comes with the bearings, but I don't need to replace the tub...just the bearings. How can I purchase the bearings (and I believe the seal in there as well) without also purchasing the tub? Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Jman, Unfortunately to replace the bearings on the tub of your unit you will have to replace the outer tub W10772617. The manufacturer does not have a bearing kit for this unit. Because the bearings are pressed in the outer tub would have to be replaced. Read More...
Beef38 July 10, 2012 for Model Number GHW9100LQ1 For the Rear outer tub, 285984, did Whirlpool change the bearing size? I just got a new one and it is bigger than the shaft.
1 Answer Hello Beef38! The outer tub W10772617 is a manufacturer replacement part and may differ in appearance but is a functional equivalent to the original and will work on your model GHW9100LQ1. Thanks! Read More...
Hankr May 10, 2012 for Model Number WFW8410SW01 1 repair tech diagnosed the cause of knock on high speed spin as a bad shock & another said the spider on the inner tub was bad. I don't feel any play on the pulley at the back of the outer tub. The shocks seem a little sloppy but seem all the same. How can I determine the cause of the knock?
1 Answer Hello Hankr. Pull the unit out and remove the back access panel on the unit. Then, turn the unit on and let it run. Check and see if the noise is coming from the pulley or the shocks. You should be able to determine this being behind the unit with that cover off the unit. Then you can determine if it is the bearings and spider assembly or the shocks. Read More...
El M. April 13, 2012 for Model Number GHW9100LW1 This unit was bought in October of 2003 (9 years ago). The outer tub has failed so both tubs will need replacing. The warranty says 2 through 10 years, the outer tub is covered. How does the do-it-yourselfer get free parts without involving a costly serviceman?
1 Answer Hello, The parts have to be provided through an authorized factory servicer and will not be covered under any warranty unless installed by such. Read More...
Igottools2 March 04, 2012 for Model Number GHW9150PW0 I have the heavy banging sound on spin cycle along with the popular plastic scraps shedding in my wash as mentioned here already. But I also have a bad leak occurring at the front of the washer and a squeal coming from the inside rear when it transitions to rinse. Do I replace the whole tub assy and if so could you assist me in the correct parts I will need to complete this job? I realize parts of this issue has already been addressed but I would like to be sure. Additional recommendations will be of great value!! Thank You.
1 Answer Hello Igottools2. Based on the information you provided, you will need to replace rear tub W10772617 and the front tub assembly W10772612. Hope this helps. Read More...
Waterman December 30, 2011 for Model Number GHW9150PW I have a 2005 whirlpool Duet that has a banging noise on high speed spin towards the end of the cycle. I have repalced the shocks and the noise is still there. I cleaned out the pump strainer and found some small 3/16 x 1" pieces of black plastic. There is some out of roundness when you rotate the drum and some movement if you lift the inner drum from the outside. There is no water leaking. Is the tub bearing bad?
1 Answer Waterman, Very Good deduction, Yes, you would most likely have a worn out tub bearing or even a damaged/defective trunion arm on the spin basket shaft (rare but possible) . You'd need to replace the rear outer tub and bearing assembly, if that's the case W10772617 Thanks and Good Luck Read More...
Woody December 29, 2011 for Model Number 110.42822203 Is the seal available? I have found and replaced the bearings, but would have liked to replace the seal, because I beleive this took out the bearings.

Mark December 14, 2011 for Model Number 11045872400 Spin cycle got loud over a few washes. Sounds like from the posts that bearing went bad. Some of the plastic was worn in the front of the tub. Can I just replace the rear tub AP3773841 with the bearing and be back in action?? Will the slight wearing of the front of the tub cause any problems? Thanks!
1 Answer Hello Mark. No, if the front tub W10772612 is damaged, you will need to replace it and the rear tub assembly W10772617. If not, it can leak in the future. Hope this helps. Read More...
