Keith for Model Number MSD2652KGW

A rat or a mouse has chewed a hole in the plastic water line that goes from the dual water valve up to the ice maker. How do you remove the old damaged line from this valve as I tried to pull it out but couldn't without pinching /damaging the collar that holds it into the valve. I plan to just replace the damaged line & not the dual valve unless you tell me I screwed it up by pinching this collar that snugs the input water line to this valve. Thanks.

Hello Keith! You will need to push in on the fitting and pull the tubing out. You have not damaged the valve it seems. For the water tubing order part number WPB5705307. Thanks!

D.R.K. To access the water tank, you'll need to remove the shelves in the refrigerator compartment. The water tanks is mounted to the back wall, just above the "Deli Drawer". If it is frozen you need to check a few things first, check the freezer air temperature, it should average 5 to 7 dgrs F. Make sure there are'nt any articles hanging over the edges of the shelve , or large, tall articles blocking the air damper in the center of the top shelf. You may want to order and install a water tank anti freeze kit 12002776 as well. Good Luck and Thanks.

Hello D.R.K. First you will need to check and see if the water filter is good. Also check the water tank in the refirgerator section and make sure it is not froze. If you remove the water line at the valve for the dispenser, and press for water and water comes out, the valve is ok. Hope this helps.
