Patrick December 26, 2017 for Model Number REX3614KW1 Dryer runs warm for about half it's cycle, then the heat shut off and it continues with no heat. I also let it run with the vent disconnected and the same thing happens.

Barry November 07, 2017 for Model Number WED5520SQ0 Not heating. I changed all thermostats and fuse. The heating element checks out. Voltage fine. Thank you
1 Answer Hello Barry, There are only 7 components in the heating circuit in this model. They include the timer, the thermal cutoff, the operating or cycling thermostat, the high limit thermostat, the heating element, the centrifugal switch in the motor assembly, and the wiring harness. If all components have been checked and there are no wiring harness issues, the most common failure is the centrifugal switch in the motor assembly 279827 since lint can accumulate in the motor and interfere with the switches' operation. If this switch checks out good, the issue would have to be in the timer WP3979618. Read More...
Bob Helsel November 04, 2017 REPLACED HEATING ELEMENT AND STILL IS NOT HEATING. IT WORKED FOR TWO LOADS AND THEN STOPPED HEATING AGAIN.
1 Answer Bob, recheck the element assembly, make sure it didn't get damaged, or shorted during the shipping and installation. Check the wires at the thermostats and thermal fuse and element terminals, make sure the connections are proper and tight. check the wire insulation for any melting or discoloration, and make sure you have 220 VAC to the dryer at the terminal block on the back of the machine. Jd October 23, 2017 for Model Number MEDC200XW1 (279838) Maytag dryer - ordered new heating element - the existing wire connectors do not match the connectors in the video - everything else the same, process simple - still no heat. Did I order wrong replacement part?
1 Answer Hello JD. No you ordered the correct element for your model number. Make sure you have it wired right. Check and make sure you have 240 volts coming to the dryer. Check and make sure the unit is not set to Air Fluff. Also check the thermostats and see if they are good. You can test these with a multi-meter MA-DM1. They should read closed for continuity. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...

From your website, it indicated AP3094254 is the replacement part. AP3094254 is rated 240 volts. Our power supply is only 110 volts. Is this the right part? If not, could you send me the right part number? Thanks,
1 Answer Xuefei, This unit is a electric dryer in which it would have to have 240 vac to it for the heater to operate. The part number for the element on this unit will be 279838. Read More...

John September 24, 2017 for Model Number NED4600YQ1 My dryer shuts off after a short time in the high heat cycle. It works in the other cycles but takes longer to dry clothes. I removed the heating element after checking the other components ( they all check good with continuity) , but the heating element read about 15 ohms . The coils on the bottom half are black and you can see where the metal below was blackened. Is this a bad heating coil? I believe so since thee other components tested fine.
1 Answer John, It sounds like the heater could be grounding out to the casing and would recommend replacing the heating element. Read More...

Craig Beene September 12, 2017 There three wires to the heating element, the bottom wire had gotten hot and come apart from the connector, I repaired this connection it worked fine for a week (the wire on the white bar like deal), now the wire looks burnt but the heating is not working. Is this the heating element or something else?
1 Answer Craig, If the wire was previously damaged then it sounds like the wire may have corrosion on it causing it to burn through and if this happens will cause the unit to not heat. You will want to try to replace the wiring. Read More...
